Hotel was in need of a face-lift, particularly the shabby and mismatched carpets. The lifts are a problem, for example it is impossible to get from ground floor to the third without changing lifts on the second, and then walking the length of another corridor. For elderly or less able guests this is difficult, especially when carrying luggage. Plus points - the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was clean and a decent size and the selection at breakfast was very good. The hotel's location beside Snowdon is magnificent.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, 2 min walk to Snowdon railway. Outstanding countryside around and very comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day.

Excellent rooms and facilities. Nice quiet resting areas.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my stay. The room and hotel facilities are quite old and look quite different from the photos shown online.
I had specifically booked a double room, but was given a twin room with two separate beds instead. This was not what I had requested and made the stay less comfortable.
Overall, I don’t feel that the quality of the room and facilities matches the price I paid. Given the condition of the hotel, I expected a better standard for this price.
