Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club #37

Great location near shops, restaurants and beaches. Our young kids loved the pool and the short walk to see the sunset next to the waves. We ate breakfast outside most mornings with the birds and lizards. We really appreciated the beach gear available and made use of the community BBQs and tables over several evenings. This spot was the perfect base for us in Kona, and was kid friendly.

The house was very clean. There was enough space for all of us. Eventually we had access to the pool and the court. We were not far from a plaza with stores and restaurants. There was a beach pretty much right next door. We were only about 12 minutes from Kailua with an easy drive.

Initially, we had difficulty getting access through the main gate. The coffee maker was not usable, but after being treated a bit rudely it was replaced. The information binder on the coffee table was outdated. We looked all over the place to find the keys for the court and pool, just to find out that it is code access. Binder stated the keys were hanging in the kitchen. We had to call to get the code. One of the bedrooms smelled like marijuana or really bad incense. There were ants everywhere. Property manager did send stuff for the ants.
