The staff is very friendly and helpful. Katy speaks several languages fluently and really goes out of her way for you. She’s helped me out several times with various arrangements, from the bathroom to taxis. She’s very easy to reach and always willing to help. The other two ladies took turns working different shifts and prepared delicious breakfasts, cleaned thoroughly (the room several times during my stay), and are also happy to help you. They mainly spoke Kriolu.

This is something the complex can't do anything about, but it may be a nuisance for guests: a huge building is being constructed across from the complex, and construction work starts early in the morning. You'll also often hear dogs barking at various times throughout the day and night. Breakfast is a buffet-style meal that you share with the others, so if they take a lot and run out of something, there’s a chance there won’t be anything left for you. Consideration for others is a must for this concept, and fortunately, that was the case during my stay. Keep this in mind, however.

Everything in the hotel is kept in good condition and all staff are friendly and helpful. It was possible to have some breakfast even when leaving early in the morning. Rooms are very spacious.

The hotel isn't in the centre of Mindelo, but in return, it is quieter and has views of Monte Cara.

The manager was lovely. Room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was good.

Would be better if shower head was fixed to the wall, rather than having to hold the shower head in one hand to shower

The room was good and located in a good position to explore Mindelo. The breakfast we had was good.

The room was quite small and without bathroom (there is a common for the entire floor). The room was extremely hot and without A/C or some ventilation and never cleaned. The quality also of the beds and mattress was not so good also. We asked for an early breakfast and they tell us that there were something in the fridge (we did not find) and very few stuffs on the table. The wifi connection was quite slow.
