Resplendent rooms:
In between the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park Gate II feels especially grand. Entering next to the cosy second sitting room, you’ll then come to the open-plan living area beneath it – decorated in red and gold, with many antiques. The sitting area has graceful seats, gilded side tables and ornaments, and there’s a dining area too – its glossy table placed beside a wall-wide oil painting. You’ll also spot the entrance to the office, which has an antique kneehole desk. Back at the entrance, the hallway leads first to the fourth bedroom, then to the smart little kitchen. Beyond that you’ll find the second bedroom (with an ensuite), the green-and-gold third bedroom (also with an ensuite) and the master bedroom. It’s suitably splendid, with a yellow silk bed and matching ruched curtains, and a bold yellow-tiled ensuite.
Home Truths:
- This home doesn't have air-conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. The fireplace in this home is ornamental. The top bunk bed in the fourth bedroom is only suitable for children. There is a tumble dryer in the bunk bedroom.
- This is a private home with some personal touches.
- Please note this property requires full payment for the stay prior to check-in, guests will receive a message from the property with a secure payment link after booking. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old, we will check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

We had a group of adult women friends to enjoy London for a week and chose this apartment for our vacation. Its conveniently located next to park, Alberts Hall, public transport and other central activities. Inside was not so great: we saw moths in closets, kitchen is very small, one bedroom looks more like a closet size, etc. Overall, it was OK for a purpose, but I would prefer a difference property the next time.

We were rebooked here after our original booking fell through 2 days before we arrived in London. Felt like a palace! The location is completely fabulous right on Hyde Park, with a sun room and small balcony overlooking the action. Super quiet at night. The management staff was friendly and we were able to check in early which was a life saver. Bus stops right in front, wall across the park to the tube. Kitchen has all you need, including washer dryer and dishwasher. Never found a cutting board but made do! Linens were fresh and we had plenty of HUGE bath towels. The only issue was the hot water, which constantly fluctuated between hot and cold. Emailed back and forth about it with the management for several days, A plumber finally came the day before we left and tried to fix it but was unable to.
Other than that it was amazing!
