The food really is something special. Both the dinner and the breakfast were lovely. Very fresh flavours. The staff were kind and helpful, despite the language barrier. I arrived too early to check in, but was able to leave my luggage while I went exploring. They very kindly brought it upstairs for me while I was out. The bath and showers are great as well, though do make note of the hours. If you take your time at breakfast you might miss the morning window.

Location was few steps from the bus stop, and also close to the ski lifts. Great for guests who don’t have a car.
There were no bathrooms inside of the room, the onsen was tiny and looked dingy and gross, no dinner was served, initially I submitted a cancellation request within the time allotted by booking.com, however the request was denied by the staff at the ryokan. Therefore I elected not to cancel. However when I arrived they said they had cancelled my booking. It was very confusing.
