- The location of Key West Cottages is unbeatable
- The cottages are beautiful
- The property is nice to walk around
- Host offered a free late checkout past the set 10am (a nice gesture, though 10am is quite early by most hotel standards).
Too expensive: $300 for 2 nights in the dead of winter feels unjustified.
Too demanding: despite premium pricing, guests are expected to wash their own dishes and take out the trash. That’s hostel-level effort at hotel-level rates.
Too uncomfortable: beds are extremely hard, and the pillows are flimsy. Basic sleep comfort is not there.
Too misleading: advertised as “waterfront with water views,” but the cottage sits on a small canal facing a hotel parking lot. Not quite false advertising... but close.
