Key West Cottages

I hate to give it a 5/5 because then it will get busy and hard to get a reservation - just kidding! This place is divine. From the incredibly soft pillows on the comfortable bed, to the soft close drawers, it was a treat to be there. The space was well appointer (comfortable sofa and small table with 4 chairs in the living area), and I appreciated the ample amount of drawer space in the closet and the bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped (dishes, glassware eating utensils and cooking tools) with only a bottle open lacking. We do wish our view was slightly better, but we were able to appreciate the sunset any way. The staff was welcoming and warm. Everyone greeted us when they walked by.

The water pressure for the shower was not impressive, although the hot did not take long to come. It is not a deal breaker, and it was something both my friend and I commented on.

We loved rhe style of each cottage! The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating. The pool, landscaping, amenities, and beach area were superb.

I have nothing but good things to say about our stay at the cottages. My husband and I are already talking about the next time we come.

- The location of Key West Cottages is unbeatable - The cottages are beautiful - The property is nice to walk around - Host offered a free late checkout past the set 10am (a nice gesture, though 10am is quite early by most hotel standards).

Too expensive: $300 for 2 nights in the dead of winter feels unjustified. Too demanding: despite premium pricing, guests are expected to wash their own dishes and take out the trash. That’s hostel-level effort at hotel-level rates. Too uncomfortable: beds are extremely hard, and the pillows are flimsy. Basic sleep comfort is not there. Too misleading: advertised as “waterfront with water views,” but the cottage sits on a small canal facing a hotel parking lot. Not quite false advertising... but close.
