Bar Harbor Cottages & Suites

Organized facility, bed was very comfortable, cottage was clean, we had more towels available along with other items in a nearby storage room if needed. The cottage was cozy and comfortable.

The outdoor space was built to encourage renters to interact with each other but yet have privacy. ILoved the model to leave a clip board y the door giving you the details of what was expected. BEst part was the self service to towels coffee packs and other items you are usually chasing down a maid for. BEst part was Joe the owner. VEry accessible and friendly and went out of his way to be accommodating - gave us a ride without hesitation to return our rental card, took one of group back to retrieve a credit card she left behind and just a great guy

Joe and his staff made this stay the highlight of our entire road trip of Maine. The attention to detail of the cottage decor, the availability of games, grilling equipment, firewood etc. Everything about each cottage has something significant and memorable for the family or group staying there. It’s a 3 minute drive to the entrance of Acadia, a 9 minute drive to the grocery store and off a quiet road outside of the overly busy Bar Harbor. I was excited to stay here since I booked it and my family (especially my 7 year old daughter) were all extremely sad to leave. Joe thank you for the hospitality and memories, we will definitely be back and will be telling all of our friends and family about this lovely establishment. Cottage #3 will always remain with us.

Good location. Was quaint and liked the open office to get what you needed and really appreciated the books on the area. Sheets were good and clean. Floor clean. Lot of utensils for cooking. Even scissors. Loved the large fridge

Bath way to small. Could use more shelves. Bed ridiculously high. No room to open a second suitcase. Little dresser was old and stinky. The buoys on the outside are cute for decor but when the wind blows at night you can hear them banging all night. Didnt leave heat on when gone since it was so antiquated was afraid it would start a fire. Never tried the ac. Kitchen stove was updated but even on high cooked slow. And no prep room really. I understand these are old and they tried to make due with what limited space they had but the bath alone would be a no go and lets talk towels. First night we had great large towels the rest of the stay it was like a shammy cloth. Please invest in more decent towels.
