About this villa rental

Beautiful 3 bed detached villa with private pool with lovely views to enjoy from every window located in the small town of Esperaza in the Aude Valley.

The villa has 3 double bedrooms, a spacious lounge and dining area and a garage. The pool area is well maintained and it is surrounded by lush plants and there is also a selection of olive trees and fruit trees all around the villa.

The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher and there is a washing machine in the utility room. A TV and Internet access is also provided for our guests convenience.

Esperaza has everything that you would need for your stay with a number of restaurants to choose from, a famous market each Sunday and local shops and supermarket as well as an award winning bakery to enjoy lovely croissants.

We are 35 minutes from Carcasonne and an hour and 15 minutes from Toulouse with a number of small towns, villages and small wine producers to visit along the way. The historic Rennes Le Chateau as featured in Dan Browns Da Vinci Code is very close and the Mediterranean beaches in one direction or ski-ing in the Pyrenees in the other are both an hour's drive away.

There are lovely walks along the river or cherry tree lined paths and there are also a couple of bikes in the garage for you to use to explore the charming countryside and a number of local wine producers very close by.

Maison bien située et au calme. La maison est fonctionnelle et grande. La piscine est exposée au soleil le matin et jusque 16h-17h. Le jardin est beau, ombragé. De belles visites sont à faire aux alentours. La proximité de supermarchés, de lieux de visite est un plus. Rob et Kate communiquent très bien avec nous, donnent des explications détaillées et sont disponibles pour toutes questions. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et recommandons cette location.

Agréable maison très spacieuse ( très vaste pièce à vivre et salon avec cuisine ouverte) . La terrasse est très reposante avec la vue sur l’espace piscine , très joliment paysagé . Située dans un environnement très calme , avec vue dégagée sur les montagnes . Idéale pour se ressourcer ! De nombreuses visites aux alentours car le village se trouve à la frontière de 3 départements . Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et réactifs . Nous recommandons cette location !

Un très beau jardin fleuri avec une piscine très propre ( 1 personne venant la nettoyer tous les 3 jours) et une terrasse où manger (barbecue disponible). Intérieur très propre et frais, avec une décoration soignée. De belles balades à faire aux alentours; un marché et une crêperie sympathiques à Esperaza; Carcassonne et les châteaux cathares à distance raisonnable

Esperaza is an ideal location for discovering the quieter, more traditional south west of France - but is still within easy reach of attractions such as Carcassonne. The town itself has fabulous bakeries and a small but really interesting dinosaur museum which is well worth a morning's visit. The market on Sunday is fabulous. The villa itself is located in a fairly quiet residential road, and has fantastic views over the hills. A drive into the Pyrenees is definitely recommended! The rooms are all perfectly sized and the living area is really spacious, with a good outside seating area. Our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by an issue with the pool which meant we weren't able to use it at all. We did discover a number of good, safe swimming lakes fairly locally, where we were also able to hire pedalos. Due to the lack of pool and a number of other 'teething' issues, we are unfortunately unable to rate the villa any higher. However, the owners were were very responsive to all issues and keen to get things sorted quickly. We would therefore have no issue in recommending the villa to others - we suspect that with use of the pool, this would certainly receive 4 stars, if not 5.
