Casas da Encosta - Houses on the slope of Aldeia de Cunqueiros
Three houses of shale that are being recovered in the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Village Tourism Project, Casas da Encosta Lodge, where it is possible to revive the life, history and culture of the people of region, in the comfort of a typical village of Beira. Shale houses are being restored following the concept of local construction where shale, clay and wood are privileged. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened its doors in 2015 and has capacity for six people, boasting in the living room the living proof of a unique utensil of the region, the winegrower. Those who pass by can take advantage of the region through hiking, river beaches and viewpoints, explore the villages of Schist and, of course, experience the rich and varied cuisine of typical dishes such as Cabrito Estonado, Maranho, Bucho among others.
The House of Lagariça consists of 2 bedrooms, each composed of double and single bed, toilet, kitchen, dining room and living room. To be enjoyed by the whole landscape we have the terrace. We have capacity for 6 Adults and possibility of including an extra bed for a child and a bed rails for Bebe.
The House of Lagariça are located in a cluster of old houses shale, in which they are connected by a set of friendly walkways (Quelhas). With maximum capacity of 6 people Lagariça House is the ideal place for families and friends enjoying a single location. Pay us a visit and get a taste of what our best people can do.
Besides being able to dine on the outdoor terrace, has the ability to walk freely around the village, where in addition to a shale crowded area, has yet to explore the 5 km of river to the nearest village, Penafalcão. Under the summer sun, are waiting for their immense wells of fresh water and river beaches right there next.

Uma casa de xisto incrustada na encosta de um pequena Aldeia de xisto!
Simplesmente fabuloso! O conforto proporcionado pela Casa de Xisto e a sua recuperação em madeira é de um aconchego por demais.
A vista da casa sob a Aldeia e para a serra que a envolve é de uma imensa beleza, os cheiros, os sons da Ribeira e da passarada desperta os sentidos de todos os que visitaram esta Aldeia e ficaram neste Alojamento.
A repetir decididamente!!!

Uma cada de xisto recuperada com todo o conforto e respeitando toda a tradição da construção de xisto.
Uma Aldeia de xisto parada no tempo e com os seus habitantes cheios de carinho e sabedoria para esbanjar a que visita está Aldeia.
