Excellent location close to town centre. Well appointed flat with everything required for a short break. Keswick has a good range of shops, bars and restaurants within short walk of the property. Easy access to exploring the wider Lake District by car or walking and 10 walk to boat trip on Derwentwater.

The apartment is ideally located in the heart of Keswick. 5 minute walk from the lake and right outside the property there are restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus a great ice cream shop! Nice little balcony with chairs and table. Very spacious and good quality shower and great bedroom with plenty storage. Kitchen reasonably equipped. Good wifi and tv facilities. Located on 3rd floor so a lot of steps which we knew about and helps keep you fit!!

The lack of communication with Cumbrian Cottages where the check-in information was not provided. Resulted in lengthy delays of us accessing the property. They claim to have passed information on to Booking.com but they did not reply to repeated messages on the Booking.com app. Had to phone their office number which we were on hold for over 20 mins but staff were helpful when we eventually got through. Cleanliness very disappointed, especially given apparent extra COVID procedures which they insist guest assist with. Crumbs and debris in cupboards, drawers and in cutlery tray. Foodstuff left by precious guests leaking and spilled in cupboards which shows cupboards had not been checked for cleaning as it was obvious to us. We had to wash and clean crockery and cutlery as we were not confident they were clean given the debris we found. Freezer compartment of fridge needing urgent defrosting as huge build up of ice meaning we only had half the space to store frozen food. Bathroom extractor fan not functioning, smell of damp and we had to buy diffusers to get rid of smell. We would recommend providing a fan to help air circulation in rest of flat too.
