We enjoyed staying at the lodge and enjoyed that you did have a restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. We did like the use of the shuttles to go back-and-forth to the reenactment.

I was hoping for a room that was more handicap accessible. Using the commode was rather difficult, but we made it work. And there could’ve been more handicap bars in the shower area.

Bathroom tub water standing in tub dirty looking and shampoo,conditioner,body wash needs to be refilled when needed also room back door was not locked felt unsafe.

Expected to be rustic but seemed more dated. It was private with current date and activities. Clean except needs good spring cleaning! Air conditioning didn’t work, now screens on doors to cool off the warm day before bed.

The best value for relaxation and very good food

Easily the most relaxing hotel I've ever stayed at. My family and I will absolutely be returning. The food on the buffet was excellent and the staff very friendly. The ladies at the front desk and giftshop were very helpful and excellent at their job. Our waiter was professional and completely awesome as well. I have stayed in many hotels around the world, but the Blue Licks Lodge is easily my favorite. Nowhere will you find a better combination of hospitality, value and relaxation

Home away from home

I love the atmosphere and the food and how cozy the rooms are. The beds are ALWAYS comfortable. I have never slept better in a hotel. This was around the 10th time in the past few years that we’ve stayed here and it’s always amazing. I HIGHLY recommend every aspect of the property. This is where we go every spring to get over cabin fever and every October to celebrate our anniversary.

It’s not really a negative about the property itself, we just had really noisy neighbors during our stay. The normal room we stay in wasn’t available when making reservations so we stayed in a non-suite king room.

The setting was beautiful. It is in a park with lovely vistas. We will definitely be staying there again. Although breakfast was not included, the price at the restaurant was very reasonable and the meal was delicious - everything prepared to order. The staff and service was excellent and the room was perfect.

we like staying at State parks but this one was disappointing

beautiful location

bugs in the corners of the bathroom floor. Restaurant had 2 people working and one was taking care of a large party the other young lady which she was great considering she had only been there 2 days.Breakfast was a cold continental breakfast which was terrible. my suggestion if you can’t give great service close and don’t schedule a large party with 2 worker. There are no restaurants anywhere close to the park so no other option to eat.

The dinner buffet could be better. The museum was very informative thanks to the gentleman who greeted us. There needs to be a breakfast buffet. Staff were friendly.

The beds were a little more firm than we like but that is personal preference. And the buffet was a little expensive,but fresh .
