My room was clean and quiet. The size was pretty typical for a double queen room. The outside appearance was impressive, and even though my view, from my room, was of trees and not much else, it was still lovely. The staff was friendly and informative. There wasn't a microwave in the room, but there was one for guest use in the lobby.
I think you need to advertise that there are lots of stairs in your lodge. Stairs up to the rooms and a long staircase down to the restaurant. I overheard other lodgers complain about the amount of stairs too, so I'm not the only one. I know this facility is older and elevators don't really fit into the design, but I think it should be mentioned in the online information so people can be prepared and know what to expect. I have dietary restrictions so I always check the online information about restaurants and food available in the area. The website led me to believe that although breakfast was continental, lunch and dinner had a menu with table service. I was dismayed to go down to dinner and find it was buffet style only. There was very little I could eat at dinner since I am gluten free. I could have salad, mashed potatoes, and the vegetable that night was corn, I think. I really think your google info on the restaurant should be updated. Plus you have lots of hikers staying with you. It would be nice to have mini refrigerators in the room.

The scenery was spectacular and it was very quiet. The weather made everything better too.
The furniture in the cabin was old and the dining room chairs were wobbly and didn't feel comfortable sitting on them. The gas fireplace was broken too.

The trails were amazing and the falls. Staff was super nice.
The room was very outdated, rusty fridge and the floor was dirty. I had to get the broom and clean the floor myself. Cobwebs around the head board, I also cleaned. Dead bugs on the inside of the windows. I get it's a cabin in the woods but I have stayed in plenty that are up to date and clean. The pink card on the table said 2 people, I forget the names, had just cleaned the room 7/28. Certainly did not look like it. Online said there was a restaurant at the lodge that served breakfast, no it was dry stale cereal bagels and bread. Very disappointed with the restaurant. This was my wife's 40th birthday getaway. Birthday was on 8/4. I went ahead and cleaned everything as I didn't want any hassle with the staff. Who were very nice. No issues there. Also our attached neighbor kept beating on the door saying our TV was loud, it was not. We could also hear the lady and her children. Not very sound proof at all. Just maybe do a walk through when staff says the rooms were cleaned. And update the rooms or at least the table, chairs, night stands and the fridge.
