The rooms are well-furnished and comfortable. Lots of natural light. Two balconies.The kitchen was well-equipped. It is at the smarter end of Mamoura, a couple of minutes’ walk to the sea.
Checking in took about an hour as their fax machine was down ( so too the credit card terminal!). It was all very pleasant but without my interpreter it would have been very confusing. I even had to get permission from the Army Colonel, (“protected by an amiable young, uniformed soldier armed with a rifle!”) to stay for some bizarre reason. The toilet seat fell off. The knob to convert tap to shower was missing. There is a bottled gas warehouse just behind and the noise from loading and unloading the gas canisters is persistent and obtrusive.
