11B Sequoia House

Super cute house with everything you need for a family stay in Yosemite. We were so happy we chose this over a hotel outside the park gates - very relaxing and beautiful little area. We shopped for groceries in Fresno on our way, and it was great to be able to make our own lunches to take with us on hikes. Although we visited in July, the nights were cool so we didn't need AC (fans are provided in the house).

The drive to Yosemite Valley is long, but this will be the case if you stay anywhere outside the Valley. It's not a bad drive and we didn't experience any traffic congestion (we either left very early in the morning or later in the afternoon).

Superb lodge in a wonderful location. Strikes a perfect balance of feeling remote while still being within easy access of day to day necessities

If it's your first time in Yosemite, you may want to stay a little closer to the valley floor

very private and clean and enough room for 2 adults and 3 kids. kitchen was well equipped.

no A/C (and we had a heatwave!!!), the double beds are definitely on the small side, can hardly fit two adults and even though my husband is not extremely tall, the beds are on the short side. the lodge also looked somewhat tired and dated.

Location and staff were great

There was ZERO mention that the house did not have air conditioning and it was in the high 90’s during our visit. You couldn’t be in the house from about 3 in the afternoon until well after dark. They should note this in the description when you rent the place.
