    Overall our stay was good. We stayed at another hotel right on bourbon street and it was surprisingly quiet as we were facing the courtyard not the street. And Mercantile was our last minute decision to stay another night in Nola and it was the most reasonably priced hotel out there that’s not too far walking distance to the French quarter. However, our room was facing the street and the windows aren’t insulated too well we could hear everything all night from people screaming, throwing up, police sirens and the train. Luckily I was tired enough to sleep somewhat decent but poor husband he’s a very light sleeper and he just could not sleep. But other than that it’s our first time trying out a boutique hotel and I find it cozy & great suburban interior decor. Eventhough there’s no pool or balcony in the rooms, having the continental hot breakfast included compensates it. We weren’t feeling like parking our own car so I just had to agree on paying $55 and some for valet which was very convenient for us.

    Good value for money, 4 minute walk to the convention center, friendly staff. Only downside is I could very clearly hear the phone conversation my neighbor was having, so the walls are relatively thin.

    This was a pretty nice hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and attended to my every need. Will definitely be staying with them again !

    Staff is rude and uninterested in doing anything for anyone. Breakfast supposed to run until 10 but was down to crumbs at 9:20. Staff told "maybe" they'll refill, " wait and see". Elevator is broken. Half of light fixtures in room is broken. And then they dare ask *** dollar a night.
