Villa 4 * beach access for 8 people 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms

We rented the house for two weeks and over that time we felt that we got to know the property well. Overall it was an excellent stay and we'd go again. There were a couple issues but the owner was attentive and prompt with getting them resolved. The pictures reflect reality: it's a beautiful home with lots of interesting decorative touches. It's obvious that a lot of thought went into it's design and it felt like a luxury home. The rooms are expansive, bedding excellent. AC worked with no issue. Kitchen was well appointed and we used it everyday. Having a washing machine was useful. Pool was great. It has a shallow-end ledge which our toddler loved to play from. Garden was small but provided enough greenery around the pool area to forget the small property size. Massage tables convert to recliner chairs for extra seating. Communal areas were comfortable. With only two main seating areas it might feel a little tight if the house is being rented at maximum occupancy but at least for our group of 5 we had enough space to spread out. The rental includes biweekly housekeeping. We appreciated it but was surprised some aspects weren't included (like the maid didn't clear out the garbage so it was our responsibility to run the trash to end of the road). The beach is accessible via a small door in the back of the garden. It is possible to walk along the beach to St. Francois, but the beach itself is harder to walk along. We had three issues of note: The first was lack of working internet for the first few days. This was almost a complete disaster as two in our party were supposed to be working online remotely. We'd contacted the owner before booking and had been reassured that internet worked well. Unfortunately when we arrived, the internet wasn't working due to a fault in the phone line out of the house. After two days of attempting to arrange for technicians to come fix the issue, the owner purchased a 4G internet box to replace the Internet, which solved our issues. The second problem was several electrical faults due to severe rain. Again, the owner promptly had an electrician on site within hours. The third issue wasn't fixable in the short-term, and only applies if visiting during periods of heavy rain. The outdoor concrete floor is not laid out evenly, so when it rains large sections of the outdoor living area become shallow pools of water that do not drain. This water then needs to be constantly swept. Still, a great stay!
