Beautiful place in the peaceful countryside away from the busy city life, but yet only a quick 25-30 minute drive into all the major cities in the area for activities. Great host, very helpful and patient! Highly recommend.

Das Haus ist ca. 15 Jahre alt, aber im typisch toskanischen Stil erbaut. Die Lage war für unsere Zwecke (7 Wochen HomeOffice, 2 Wochen Urlaub) perfekt. Ringsherum Felder, lärmende Zikaden, nervende Mücken (Autan mitnehmen!), erstaunlich flache Gegend, für unsere Fahrradausflüge hervorragend geeignet. 1200m bis Post / Tante-Emma-Laden / Bar Ferretto (örtliche "Nachrichtenzentrale" von Querce), 2,5km bis Pizzeria / Eisdiele / Friseur / Schuhgeschäft / Kirche im Nachbarort Spianate, 5km bis Altopascio (Supermärkte, Tankstellen, Restaurants, Autobahnauffahrt). 15km bis zur Schnellstraße FI-PI-LI (Firenze-Pisa-Livorno). 20min bis Lucca, 40min bis Pisa-Flughafen, 45min bis zum Badestrand, 45min bis Scandicci (der kostenlose COOP-Parkplatz, von dem man mit der Straßenbahn in 10min im Zentrum von Florenz ist).
Für uns Vorteil, für andere vielleicht Nachteil: Keine hippe Touristen-Gegend. Kein aufregendes Nachtleben, kaum deutsche Autokennzeichen, keine deutschen Speisekarten, stattdessen toskanisches italienischsprachiges Alltagsleben. Mit Englisch kommt man wahrscheinlich auch ganz gut zurecht, aber mit Italienisch-Kenntnissen kommt man bei den (allerdings wenigen, weil dünn besiedelt) Nachbarn erst nach 2 Stunden und ebenso vielen Flaschen Wein wieder heraus.
Ein Punkt Abzug gibt es für die Genauigkeit des Online-Inserats, weil sich die Fotos auf zwei nebeneinanderliegende Ferienwohnungen beziehen. (Unsere hatte die blaue Küche, und im Kinderzimmer parallel übereinander gebaute Betten, in der anderen, etwas kleinere Wohnung ist die Küche grün, und das Hochbett steht im 90-Grad-Winkel. Im Endeffekt kein Problem, aber die Transparenz, was man nun bucht, könnte besser sein)
