Our property on the way to the Jardins d'Eyrignac, on the road to St Jean de Compostela and the medieval cities of another time, is nestled in the heart of the Lot valleys (Souillac, Rocamadour, Gouffre Padirac...), Dordogne (Sarlat, Lascaux, Montignac..), Correze (Brive, Pompadour, Collonges la Rouge).... and it extends over an area of 250 m2, close to an 18-hole golf course.
The interior spaces are well furnished and the neat decoration makes this villa a warm and cozy place of very good quality, at the height of the welcome reserved for you...
A local artist has produced veritable frescoes, whether it's a trompe l'oeil library or a circus scene in a bedroom.
The many rooms with vast volumes behind their ironwork overlook the garden, the swimming pool and the wooded hills.:
Outside, the environment is completely green, giving a generous and exotic setting. The fully fenced property has several acres of wood + grass land around the house. The view is south facing with sun all day.
In our garden many places have been arranged for relaxation and rest in the open air: Next to the heated and fenced swimming pool, you can take tea under the shade of the kiosk, or relax on the terracotta terrace.
Also available is a flowered veranda with its copings from the Château de Savenes (82) and its pink and red bricks from Toulouse + other terraces.
An outdoor kitchen will allow you to use plancha, barbecue, coffee machine, sink and a large marble table, shaded by the large oak tree.
The activities available around the house are 18-hole golf course 2 km away, mountain biking, climbing, horse riding, forest walks, hiking on marked trails; ....The nearby Dordogne river offers fishing, canoeing and kayaking.

* End of stay cleaning costs + sheets, duvets, pool+bath towels+ parking+internet: 150 euros
* Electricity consumption has become a major issue for our planet and to avoid lighting even in the middle of the day, we ask our dear customers to pay for it on a meter reading.

We were a group of two families (3 couples and a single) with 2 dogs. Property has lots of space for all to be together or in own areas. Good kitchen facilities (important to us) and lovely peaceful location with good walks on doorstop for our energetic dogs. Amal and Rashid prepared a wonderful celebration feast to help us celebrate our daughter's engagement and they worked with us brilliantly on details (menu preferences, gateau for happy couple etc)
They are aware of need to carry out a few fixes on fencing, gates and doors, which do not close as they should and we know they are having works done at end of season. Our very inquisitive young dog did get out on a few occasions, but fortunately location is not near busy road. Most family dogs would be fine.
Rashid lives quite close and responded very promptly to all requests. We had a great holiday and would recommend Villa Tamaris to families and small groups.

Nous avons passé de bons moments en famille (8 personnes) début juillet. Peu de moustiques ou de guêpes. Aucun moustique-tigre. La décoration intérieure surprend par ses composantes moyen-orientales. Voici nos impressions sur une échelle de 1 à 5. Les points forts d’abord. 5/5 pour le propriétaire, disponible au moindre souci. 5/5 aussi pour la localisation, les extérieurs, le calme, le kiosque et les zones ombragées. Idem 5/5 pour la climatisation, la literie confortable, les lits dressés et les serviettes disponibles. Nous donnons 3/5 à la piscine chauffée. Son épuration au sel est une merveille par rapport au chlore, mais l’eau n’était qu’à 22° au début (mauvais temps la semaine précédente). La piscine n’est jamais complètement au soleil car la végétation actuelle est beaucoup plus haute que sur les photos. Un élagage des pourtours serait le bienvenu. Maintenant les points faibles. L’accès internet vaut 1/5. Il est instable et peu rapide. La sécurité mérite 2/5. Les escaliers extérieurs (dont celui vers la piscine) présentent des zones non plates et ne possèdent aucune rampe. Attention pour les enfants ou les personnes à mobilité réduite. Les nombreux tapis dans toutes les pièces provoquent des trébuchages (cfr. bords retournés de plusieurs d’entre eux). En outre, tous ces tapis ne favorisent pas l’hygiène. L’éclairage intérieur et extérieur reçoit 2/5 et ne correspond plus aux photos. Celui du kiosque est symbolique ; impossible d’y lire le soir. La grande table de terrasse extérieure n’est pas éclairée ; nous avions heureusement une puissante lampe de camping. Les points lumineux intérieurs sont rares et souvent de faible intensité. Par ex. le plafonnier de la salle à manger ne possède qu’une seule ampoule LED de 4 W et il n’y a pas d’autre éclairage dans la pièce. Plusieurs points lumineux sont hors service. L’équipement de cuisine mérite une moyenne de 3/5. Les couverts, vaisselles, casseroles, accessoires, etc … sont très satisfaisants, mais la gazinière est hors d’âge. Le plus petit des cinq brûleurs est hors service. Faire mijoter quelque chose est impossible. Quant au four, sa montée en température est d’une lenteur effarante. Le frigo/surgélateur est de bonne qualité, mais la partie frigo est petite pour 8. Nous avions heureusement une glacière de voyage. Enfin, le barbecue mérite 2/5. A part une vieille grille, aucun instrument n’est disponible, et le socle de braises incliné vers les pieds du cuistot impose de faire très attention.
