About this house rental
Kastellos Traditional Houses are situated in the picturesque village of Kastellos near Georgioupolis and comprises of two complexes. The ''Agathes'' Complex, the ''Kastellos'' complex. Each one of these complexes consists of 4 traditional stone houses, which offer all modern comforts and a magnificent ambience to all guests.

So in order to understand the bedding of the houses here they are:
-Barbagiannis house (125 sqm)has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and can take up to 5 people (1 sofa beds)
-Maria house(135sqm) has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms and can take up to 6 people (1 sofa beds)
-Anthoula house (135sqm) has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms and can take up to 7 people (1 sofa beds)
-Sofia house (75sqm)has 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom and can take up to 3 persons
Any of the houses can take baby cots
Agathes traditional Houses are ideal for those wishing to escape everyday routine and relax enjoying the Cretan countryside, it’s for those who want to contact the nature, the wild life, the tastes of the local food and of course to meet the people and their habits. And if you wake up early to watch the sun come up, it will pay you back with some unforgettable pictures to remember.
All houses – of all two complexes – are independent and fully equipped. They are built according to the traditional architecture. On the outside, beautiful stone work frames the dark green doorways and windows, further accentuated by the pastel strawberry and lemon walls. Add to this lovely tiled roofs and backdrop of the blue sky and mountains, and then you begin to understand why we were so smitten.
Inside the restoration is if anything, even more remarkable, with beautifully tiled floors, ceilings supported by huge beams interlaced with traditional bamboo linings and pale ochre coloured walls set off by elegant concealed lighting.
ROOMS FACILITIES
Each house has two floors and a private veranda with panoramic view of the mountain and the sea. Guests can choose amongst houses with one or two sitting areas, according to their needs. All houses are equipped with fully equipped kitchen (with kitchen appliances and utensils), bathroom with bathtub, WC with shower and one or two bedrooms with king size beds. The houses combine harmoniously the traditional style with modern decorative elements, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. For your convenience, all houses have A/C, fireplace and plasma TV. Every house can accommodate 2 to 7 persons.

We were a group of 15 (7 adults, 8 kids between 6 - 12yrs) and stayed across the 4 residences that make up Agathes residence. We really enjoyed the houses, the pool, location - everything worked really well for us. Bedrooms were spacious and clean, good bathrooms (and water pressure) in all properties.
Maria's taverna is a 10 min walk up the hill, and Maria makes fantastic home-made food (for both vegetarians & meat lovers). We rented bikes and visited nearby towns, and the lake and beach are within a 10 mins drive (we tended to go to the beaches to the west of Giorgopolis, which is a nice small town). A car is needed if you stay in Kastellos, but everything you need (supermarkets, bakeries etc) are within 10 mins drive.
In summary we really loved the house, the pool, location - everything!

Fantastisk feriebolig, hvor vi blev taget godt imod og blev overraskede over, hvor smukt og stort det var. Fire skønne huse huse med masser af soveværelser, køkkener og badeværelser, og em pool centralt placeret. Meget venlige og hjælpsomme værter. Inden ankomst var vi informeret om, at der var en vaskemaskine, men det viste sig ikke at være tilfældet. Der er heller ikke opvaskemaskine, og det kunne have været dejligt at have til så mange mennesker. Men alt i alt en super bolig med skøn beliggenhed og dejlig udsigt!

Eenmaal met de hele familie in een perfecte locatie in een warm land was de droomwens.
Deze locatie voldeed 100% aan onze verlangens. Een droomlocatie voor een 8-daagse vakantie met 20 personen. Toch altijd wat spannend om van een plaatje te boeken maar zowel het comfort als de verzorging (contact met eigenaar, dagelijkse schoonmaak, tuinverzorging etc.) was perfect. Vier autootjes gehuurd, dat is wel aan te raden. Kortom: aanrader!
