About this country house rental
Enjoy your holiday in a beautiful farmhouse with private pool, between Angouleme and Cognac. Our house is a renovated 18th century cognac farmhouse offering spacious, comfortable family accommodation to enjoy both outside or inside living. Secluded gardens providing sun and shade or the large orchard with astonishing view over the vines will guarantee a fantastic holiday experience. Enjoy the (2024) newly renovated bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. Take a swim in the private pool (12m x 7m) which is alarmed for children's safety. Garden furniture, barbecues and sun loungers are available. A short walk through the vines will lead you to a welcoming pub/restaurant in the nearby village. Local markets, historic towns and cities like Angoulème and Cognac are nearby. Walk or cycle beside river Charente or visit the famous cognac houses. Excellent golf at Cognac (20 km) and Angouleme (30 km). The nearest Airport is Bordeaux at 80 km.

Beautiful family home in amongst the vineyards.Superbly stocked kitchen. Fabulous pool. Newly refurbished bedrooms and bathrooms with comfortable beds (note beds are doubles and can’t be split into twins). Lovely terrace to dine on, beautiful sunsets just outside the perimeter of the house through the barn doors, and fabulous views of the night time skies. For those over 1.7 m tall be aware of a few low beams /doorways

We had a fantastic two weeks in this house. It was very calm and had all we needed. The pool is very big which our son’s loved. David was very helpful and kind.

Very peaceful & relaxing stay. Spacious, clean and well supplied accommodation. Location off the tourist route but interesting local towns and countryside were accessible.
Coast 1 hour drive!
David the property manager was on hand and very helpful and kept the pool clean and tidy during our stay. Booking process from start to finish was excellent.

Sadly the photos were better than the reality. Very tired , bad smell in the downstairs area. It did not mention next to a road. In the lounge there was a TV which the nine people it accommodates would not be able to seat everyone and mostly which was the most disturbing was the taxidermi animals which upset my daughter immensely as she is a vegan there was no mention of this at all or any evidence of this in any of the photos. The outdoor furniture was below standard, broken sunbeds which could have caused cuts.
