An okay area, but wouldn't visit again.

Location to beach and view. Did not see any staff but email response was quick.

The room was not good. Kitchen was horrible, cabinets in bad condition, no kitchen towels or paper towels, no outlets except for a bank of outlets on the dresser, windows filthy and didn't open.

If I had known, I would have stayed somewhere else.

The property was right one the beach, but right over a restaurant that blast music from 8 am until 1 am so loud the floor vibrated. The room is large and had a kitchen which was helpful.

The beds were hard as rocks. The owner was very kind to allow us to switch rooms, but the beds were all very old and hard mattresses. There was no caulk under the shower door causing a river after every shower that we had to mop up. The loud music the entire stay defeated the purpose of our vacation which was to relax.

It is small, a great shared balcony for all guests. Closeness to the beach is perfect.

The rooms are above very loud restaurants. The mattress/ bed frame is poor quality. Clean room, but the beds are cheap metal frames!

Location Amazin but bring earplugs!

The manager we dealt with was very nice. The location was fabulous and parking is right behind the hotel. It also has a nice patio/balcony area to sit and read. The room also had a kitchen which was convenient.

The bed was very, very soft with no support at all. The hotel is right above a restaurant that played music loud until midnight. I did use earplugs and was fine, but you did need the earplugs!

I love everything about this location the ocean, rooms, privacy and best of all the staff contacts you right away with instructions on how to access property and just simply amazing. When i think Hollywood Beach i think Golden Sands everytime =) Thank you for always being consistant and welcoming =))

Awesome stay.

The place was just what I needed. I was the only person there. But it was very accommodating. The gentleman who was handling the property was extremely nice and he was very accommodating. Very nice, polite, courteous, and kind.

Not a real hotel, just a trap

The only positive thing is its location on the beachfront.

This hotel is an absolute disaster and does not deserve the rating it shows online. The reviews and scores on Booking do not reflect reality at all. The rooms are filthy, the doors do not function properly and often get stuck – which is a serious safety hazard. The level of dirt and neglect is so severe that this property should be subject to a legal inspection. After the first night, we moved to another property on the same strip which is a real hotel, and continued our vacation there. This so-called motel/guesthouse is nothing but a scam. We requested a refund and even agreed to accept a few nights’ deduction. However, they refused, making it clear that their only purpose is to trap guests into paying. From what I observed, the building seems to be up for sale and is being run in the worst possible way just to squeeze out money until it’s sold. The only reason people still choose this place is because of its beachfront location – but that is pure deception. The “balcony” shown in the photos is misleading: it is actually a common area, and it’s impossible to sit there because the outdoor air-conditioning units blow hot air directly into the space. Even the paid parking that was supposed to be included is problematic. When a tow truck was called, serious arguments broke out, creating an unpleasant and unsafe situation for guests. This property is a fraud hidden behind its beachfront location. Dirty, unsafe, poorly managed, and deceptive. I have photos and videos to prove every single claim. Avoid this place at all costs.

A little gem right on the beach. Clean, cool, and everything you need for a little getaway!

Our room was right overlooking the beach! I could see the sunrise from our table. It was clean, the air condition worked, and Tony was a gem!

The BEST 4th Ever

Every time I come to stay at Hollywood Beach I always look for The Golden Sands, Tony goes above and above to make everything as smooth as possible. I mean everything from check in and check out times, codes for the gate, Wi-Fi Passwords, Towels in the room without having to request anything. But my Favorite part of thee Golden Sands is the deck over looking the boardwalk. I usually pick a night and sleep outside to enjoy the sunrise, will always look to book at the Golden Sands.

Parking is always the mission in Hollywood, but Tony made it clear on where we should park and prices.

Parking. That was a major negative for us. We went during high season and it took us 1 hr to find parking. No exaggeration. I feel it’s extremely deceiving that this was not indicated in red letters in the listing. The property mgr was very nice but nonetheless, it was ridiculous not to offer a parking space

Nice place on the seafront

we were disappointed

Location

Immediately upon entering the room, there was a very strong smell, almost a wave of very strong detergent. Which was probably being used to coved up the musty and moldy smell of the room, as the building looks very old and ready for demolition. (two of us got very strong allergic reactions. We are both allergic to mold.) The smell of the detergent didnt come off from our clothes until the 2nd wash. We stayed for a week, and the room wasn’t cleaned once during our stay. Not even to restock toilet paper or basic needs. The room had been renovated (or atleast tried to.) but the renovations were very crude, and not very well done. For example, if it was raining heavily, the paint on the ceiling would start to crumble and drop down on the floor and the beds. The bathroom door didnt close properly, due to the door swelling because of the dampness. There was an ocean view, but it was behind the roof terrace, which was constantly full of people so we had to keep our courtains closed, so the ocean view was useless. There is a bar below the motel, which blasts music so loud, the walls shake until 11-12PM (even during weekdays.) so if you want to sleep before that, good luck. There is an A/C unit on the street facing side (belongs to the bar or the restaurant downstairs?) which is on 24/7, but the music covers that up during nights, so nothing to worry about. The furniture of the room was very old and worn. The sofa looked like it had been picked up from the dump. The beds were hard as rocks, very unformortable to sleep. The pictures online didnt match our room at all, if the address wasnt correct, i would have wondered if we were in the right place

Tony was a great host we did not have any problems, but he was on top of anything that came up for guests. Uber drivers were great and responsive. Walmart delivery worked great
