Not much to dislike!

Renting this house for our family of five was one of the best decisions we made for our Zakynthos holiday. From the moment we arrived, the level of cleanliness was remarkable – every room was spotless, and you could tell it wasn't just a quick tidy-up before check-in. The whole place has been carefully thought through, both architecturally and in terms of interior design. This is not your average holiday rental – someone has clearly invested time, love, and money into making it genuinely beautiful. The space is generous enough to live and breathe in. We had wonderful evenings gathered around the outdoor fireplace – singing, dancing, laughing well into the night – and when we moved the party inside, the living room handled it just as easily. It never felt cramped, never felt loud in the wrong way. It simply felt like a home. One practical detail we absolutely loved: there's an outdoor shower in the back yard. After a long day at the beach, being able to rinse off outside while others used the indoor bathroom meant no waiting, no queue — just everyone ready in no time. And there was even enough space to give our kayak a proper wash after a week of serious sea salt exposure! If you're looking for a holiday home that combines comfort, beauty, and soul — this is it. We'd return without a second thought.

A couple of things worth mentioning: The house sits on the main road connecting Koiliomenos to the rest of the island, so you will occasionally hear passing traffic – and during the day, rented ATVs are very popular in the area and can be quite noisy as they go by. That said, it clearly wasn't enough to disturb our little one, who fell asleep under the courtyard pergola and treated us to a record-breaking four-hour nap in the cool shade – perhaps the best endorsement of all! There is no mini-market within walking distance, but honestly, we never really missed one. The local tavernas and small eateries nearby are so good, so welcoming, and varied enough in choice that we found ourselves happily eating out rather than cooking – and never once felt the need to stock up on groceries.

The property has nice views and good amenities. Slept truly wonderful at this stay and if anything is needed the owner could be contacted at any time. The house is also truly beautiful as well as the town. Even during low season when there aren’t many tourists yet the town has local restaurant that is open. The lady on the property was really lovely to speak to and so helpful with anything we needed! Tip for those coming, you can park the car more easy when going further up the road outward of the town, there is a circle like space under the trees that had many available spots. Otherwise on the side of the road. Also a tip, our navigation let us first to the back of the house into the village and through narrow streets. The front is at one of the main streets through the village so pay attention to your navigation before you are led into the wrong direction. The host gives a good guide with pictures from which we could see we were at the wrong place.
