Not much.
Bed was too small.
Room had a step up to the bathroom.
Room temp was too warm. Had to open a window. No conditioner supplied. Floor squeeked.

The room was comfortable but the heat never turned off. Despite the extreme cold we had to leave the window open to regulate the temperature. The breakfast was very basic. They had run out of milk so no cereals were available. It would be great if you added more fruits and vegetables, maybe yogurts and additives. We enjoyed playing cards and games in the lounge and loved the toboggan run, wished it was open during the week. Also enjoyed hiking trail 3. Wished that snowshoes were available during the week. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the coffee in the rooms.
The breakfast needs to improve. The toilets are very low to the ground. Could do with more tables in the lounge. Heating in the historic rooms never shut off. Too hot.

The working fireplaces are nice and the overall facility has a nice feel. Our grandchildren loved the pool. There are excellent hiking trails and pretty scenery near the lake. Hard to beat the toboggan run.
The WIFI isn't available at the pool or in my room. The service works near the front desk. We also had problems with the charging station for our EV which actually damaged our car's electrical system and someone unplugged our car probably as a prank.

The lodge offered so many nice gathering areas.
With the exception of our room (which was clean) everywhere else was so dirty. Garbage bags lined the hall, bathrooms were a mess, sauna was disgusting, pool had hair floating, crumbs on the floor and garbage cans in walkways were spilling out.

The location and atmosphere were very nice. The staffs were agreeable.
The diner was not to our expectations as we were traveling with 3 vegetarians

Nostalgia
Our room had a foul smell and we checked out a day early. We couldn’t handle it another night.

The inn itself is lovely. It was awesome to be right next to the toboggan run, which is why we chose Pokagon for a winter stay. The room itself was nice and the beds were comfortable.
I've stayed there several times, and the staff was surprisingly rude at times this time. (For example telling my daughter not "hog them all" when she took one towel that she'd be waiting for at the pool. We had a room for 6 but bedding for 4 and when we asked for more we were told they were out of bedding. My adult daughter was scolded for desensitizing her room key. Even staff that wasn't rude seemed demoralized. There was no free breakfast I could find. It cost me $45 for three people. Food was sparse at dinner and breakfast, for example, when there was gravy there were no biscuits. There was no fire in the lounge overlooking the toboggan run because "the wood was too wet."

Cost to get in state park, all the kids in hot tub

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the Inn. And of course, the kids enjoyed the pool and game room and the toboggan run
Breakfast buffet was kind of expensive especially for those who have gluten issues and could only have eggs and bacon. Lighting in our room was quite deem. Also the large fireplace was only lite during the morning, we enjoy sitting in front of the fireplace in the evening.

The bed was very comfortable. The room had a smart tv which was nice. I liked being able to open a window for fresh air.
Enjoyed hiking the trails
Guests left a dog inside a room unattended. There was loud barking in the morning.

The area.
They said I had double booked but that both rooms were the same but they would charge the same. Booking.com said 2 nights $136. They set me up one night for $162. The next day staff tried to make it better , by reducing the 2nd day price. I had already paid more for one night than what was quoted to me for nights. I will not go back.. they also said that a room with a full bed was same as a room with 2 queens.. there was no way 2 queen bed would have fit in our room. Another lie..

I love the historic inn when I'm in a decent room.
I didn't like that I was put into what appears to have been a closet. Window actually in the closet and looks over the roof into the other 2nd floor rooms, I asked for a lake view. Plumbing issues were also an issue. Appears inn manager has or never had pride in this property, or is in over his/her head. Full review on trip advisor with more pictures.

The location in the state park is beautiful. Also, the common areas of the lodge is nice and very comfortable.
The room is a bit "tired". The decor needs to be refreshed and the bathroom needs to be updated.

The restaurants food for dinner was not good. No menu. Buffet expensive. Requested oil for salad , it was rancid.
Restaurant food was highly disappointing

The dining room is one of my favorite places. The breakfast menu was normal hotel fare. Staff was pleasant. Nice views of the lake and good hiking trails.
Was quiet during the week, then weekend guests showed up, too noisy. Need better sound proofing.

The Inn was very nice. I liked all the little nooks and crannies where you could sit and relax
plenty of chairs in front of the restaurant so you could look out at the water very relaxing. The balcony was huge overlooking the beach.
I wasn’t happy with the carpeting being so stained in our room. I-know it’s the end of the season, but they are open all year round so I would think that they would’ve taken care of that.

It was so quiet and lovely at the location. We took a walk each day in the woods and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The inn is very large, but quiet and very nice. It’s great to have horseback riding (although it was closed on Mon-Thur that we were there), an on-location dining room, an arcade room and so much more. We’ve stayed at all but 1 so far of the Indiana State Parks that have an Inn, and this one was the best. The rooms are nice, with a large bathroom.
The bed wasn’t as comfortable as I like. No having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was a problem. Only 24 channels on the smallish TV.

Nice room, excellent value for the price
Not enough staff in the dining room. We decided to eat dinner there and had to wait a long time to get seated. There were only two waitresses and we had to wait for the second waitress because I wanted to order a glass of wine. The food was good, but took almost an hour to come after we ordered it. We understand that it was Monday and so they didn’t expect many customers. Then, the next morning we tried to go for breakfast but there was only one waitress who was taking forever to get the order so she couldn’t take time to seat us (the sign said wait to be seated). We finally gave up and left without ever getting seated.

Room was clean. Shower was good. Liked being able to open the windows. Overall OK
Mattress sagged in the middle. Furniture was scuffed and cruddy. Room did not have the usual amenities of a Hotel room. The TV never worked. Called the front desk a couple times with Maintenance staff showing up once.

We had fun. The room was clean, loved the outdoor activities.
Buffett on Saturday was lacking. There was a wedding that day and it felt like the dinner Buffett was just mailed in. Limited options, veggies were sad and overcooked. Fish and ham options did. It look appetizing. However, the pot roast was delicious! Cost for what was offered was too much

The view from the historic room overlooked the lake. The park was having a seaplane event and I was able to see the action in the morning from my window. I liked being able to open the windows for fresh air in the evening.
I booked a 250 square foot room with a garden room. The photos on my booking described a room in the newer horseshoe wing. I arrived at 1:30pm and asked if I could check-in or I would come back later. I was given room #128 in the "historic" older section. The room was small, the bathroom had mold and water damage. The furniture in the room was old and worn out. In the evening there was a barking dog left alone in the room next to mine. My request for a different room was denied by the front desk.
I went to the restaurant at 7:30pm for the dinner buffet. The food was good but there was one employee in the dining area working the cash register. There were no employees greeting customers or attending the buffet.
The swimming pool was nice but the water in the hot tub was cold. The hot tub should have been marked as "out of order".

Facilities were top notch--private beach, kayak rental, great restaurant food, pool and hot tob too. Extremely clean. Laid back lodge, many places to chill, indoors and out.
Room was a claustrophobic closet. Barely room for a bed. Couldnt upgrade as reservation made thru Booking.com was only for the cheapest room.

Didn't have a fire ring or a grill. We went the 26th of August during the week was not thinking the end of season so no boat rental or other rental

Some of the carpets and decor were a little tired looking.

Quaint, clean, beautiful lake
All good, just not many here on a Wednesday. Had our 12 year old grandson with us, boathouse closed though. So no rentals for the lake. Guess we should have looked into that before we booked.
