We love staying here once a year. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms have high ceilings, comfortable beds and traditional furniture that fits the Victorian theme. There are in-room coffee makers and small snacks with a fridge. When you check out, don’t forget to open the front gate and then drop the keys in the mailbox through the fence once and only once you have first let yourself outside.
The place is a little hard to find. The streets are slightly angled away from Gordon Highway, and you have to look for a small, thin white sign that points in the direction of the Fox’s Lair, the pub in the basement. It would be nice if the sign had a light to see it more easily at night.

Unique bar tender who checked us in was outstanding The foxes lair was closed unfortunately but maybe better it would have been very loud I think We were only ones in the house Didn’t sleep well however lots of noises and train decided to blow horn continuously for about 20 min at 2 am. It was as if it was taken your kid to work day and let him play with train horn
Could have used some better white linens and blanket Crackheads in parking lot asking for things when we left in am scared me a bit
