Mid-Town Motel

The location is perfect, just a quick walk and you're in town. But it's very quiet because you're not right in town with all the people and car congestion when back at the motel.

Only negative I can think of is the teeny, tiny bathroom. If you're a large person or have long legs you're going to have a tough time sitting and rising from the commode.

A lot of other people in our party were staying in inns and AirBnB's around town. We loved that our motel was so much cheaper and located right in town. It was clean and nostaligic, and the service was great.

It wasn't fancy by any means. Mini-fridges in the room would be nice, and the shower was quite small.

King bed was super comfy. We think it was a foam mattress, it didn't bounce when the partner got on or up in the middle of the nite, just like home. The room was large with double windows facing the east for morning sun. The windows had sheer and thermal curtains. There was a chair and unadvertised soap, moisturizers in bathroom. There is a camera facing the door entrances for security and an outside lantern at every room entry. The office has free coffee, ice anytime day or nite. As advertised 2-3 minute walk to downtown shopping, restaurants, boat tours. Free wifi, Pleasant proprietor.

One chair, two person occupancy. A leftover from1950 claim of establishment, gross cushion. Motel sign is in disrepair, you can hardly read it. No smoking allowed on premise however cigarette butts everywhere. Overflowing trash receptacle. Had to save ours up in vehicle for dumping the following day. The bathroom toilet faces a wall that only a child's short legs could appreciate not banging against it. The towels hanging right next to toilet where smells attach themselves to or towels drop in toilet. Single pane, double hung windows with lead weights and leak air like a sieve, peeling paint, difficult to open, close. What maid leaves a partial toilet paper roll on the hook? The perimeter floor in bathroom showed off dirt as if it were pushed under the baseboard. The shower base outside had very poor sealing caulk, it appears to be installed improperly to prevent water seepage in or out. The shower is small. Controlling the cold water over hot is difficult and I had a lukewarm shower. The shower walls have rusted metal fasteners and the floor wasn't clean. Finding out pets are accepted in Queen rooms deters me from renting them due to allergies, asthma. The price is far too high and you will get so much more at the inns and hotels that are on the water beginning with cleanliness, a full sized bathroom for 2 adults and pet free odors. We were very disappointed and this stay was supposed to be my birthday present to myself and I feel $1125.00/day is a far more fair price, tips, taxes included, not the $270.00/day I paid, and no, I wouldn't stay here for 125 bucks knowing the room had pets or the bathroom isn't clean or one chair for two adults. Air conditioner in back wall closet space. It takes high fan to cool the room down, away from the steamed windows and entry where the warmth comes in? Decaf., light roast coffee only. You're paying for location only and NOT WORTH IT! Repeat, NOT WORTH IT!
