Rio Motel and Suites Wildwood Beach & Boardwalk

The suite was in an amazing location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful!

Some parts of the suite are showing their age a little.

The location was great. You can see the boardwalk from the room. A lot of things to see and do nearby.

The room was not ready at 3:00 PM check in. I waited an extra 45 minutes until I could get in and after a 4 hour drive I was a bit frustrated. Once the maid service was finished, it looked like they did very little cleaning. There was trash from the previous people left under the sink, the floors were still full of sand and dirt, and the blankets were not changed (there was hair stuck in the blankets). The tables and countertops were dirty like they hadn’t been wiped down as well.

Location was great! Ocean Ave, directly across from the beginning of the boardwalk. Sat on the porch and people watched it was a nice time. Amenities were as advertised.

The place is dated, the electrical system needs rewiring we had to find the circuit breaker a few times because multiple window units going at once made the fuse blow. There's also black mold in the bathroom that was painted over but it started peaking through and causing sinus problems. They did say they were renovating off season so hopefully that fixes the negative aspects of the place but I'm also hoping the consumer doesn't have to pay for the renovations by them hiking up the cost to stay.

Little dirty

Both bedroom windows were opened when putting the window up would keep falling use had to use 2 shampoo bottles to hold the window in place. Received a call regarding our vehicle would be towed when we asked the day of our reservation to make sure it would be okay that we park in the other facility spot. Staff said it was okay. We paid for $10.00 and $40.00 for our small dog. It was pricey.
