The Inn at Montpelier

Great location, friendly staff, plenty of space.

Floor not as clean as expected.

The building is beautiful, located right downtown but with ample parking. We had a lovely, spacious room that was tasteful and comfortable. Staff was friendly and responsive.

Nothing; it was a really nice stay.

Location and proximity to town.

The bathroom sink would not drain well for some reason. Overall the place was comfortable but it is an old building.

An older inn but still with charm. Plenty of free off street parking. Walkable to downtown restaurants, shops and capitol area. Continental breakfast was a nice touch.

Staff is meh on a friendliness scale. Nowhere in the listing did it indicate we'd be staying in the "annex" building and not the actual inn, so that was disappointing. Our room was hot, a free standing A/C unit, with a hose attached to a window was in the room but was too far away to adequately cool. Hard bed and pillows. Room smelled of "old smoke/dust". Our room really needs some TLC (dirty tub/grout, peeling wallpaper, old carpets, dirty windows w/webs and dust). Internet painfully slow.
