About this farm stay rental
The houses are all stone, with traditional architecture in a traditional country estate in northern Portugal with 50 acres.
In this house, the room is heated with a fireplace and television.
It has two bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with two single beds and a bathroom with bathtub. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, oven, hob and coffee maker. It offers a collective laundry area.
Prime location in the beautiful Minho region, in northern Portugal, where you can enjoy the calm and healthy environment in a rural farmhouse, located about 4 km from the beach, the typical city of Viana do Castelo and the sanctuary of Santa Luzia.
This property, which has at its center an ancient solar and remains in the same family for 500 years, has traditions and origins are confused with the history of Portugal.
Appreciate the architecture and decor of solar and chapel of the seventeenth century is also a lesson in history and art.
Here was a refugee for a few weeks, the pretender to the Portuguese throne, António, Prior of Crato, in the year 1580.
Here you can enjoy northern Portugal holidays, in Minho, in extensive gardens, swimming pool and all the magnificent view.

Paco d'Ahna is locate less than 1h north of Porto. There are a lot to see and do around but you need a car.
The place is lovely but it is more an appart'hotel. We were not aware of it.
Lots of excellent restaurants, shops near by. The manager of the place was available, and helpful.

Das Ferienhaus liegt wunderschön auf einem alten Weingut und bietet eine tolle Aussicht. Eine Flasche des dort angebauten Weins empfängt einen bei Ankunft im Kühlschrank (sehr lecker!). Auf Nachfrage kann der Wein in der Rezeption nachgekauft werden. Da die Beschreibung des Ferienhauses an manchen Stellen nicht zutreffend war, hier eine kurze Korrektur: Nein, es gibt keine Waschmaschine. Und mit Kaffeemaschine ist eine kleine Espressomaschine gemeint, die auf den Gasherd gestellt werden muss und kaum Kaffee für 4 Erwachsene fasst. Der Kühlschrankt hat keinen Eisschrank, da die Klappe hierfür abgebrochen ist und in einem der Küchenschränke liegt. Der ganze Kühlschrank ist daher zugeeist und kühlt m.E.n. zu stark. Ameisen. Dafür gab es statt dem angegebenen einen Badezimmer gleich zwei - von jedem Schlafzimmer geht eins ab, beide haben Wanne, WC, BD und Waschbecken, wobei im hinteren Bad Wasser aus dem BD lief, wenn man zu lange geduscht hat. Einen Grill gibt es nicht. Auf Nachfrage hat man uns eine Waschmaschinentrommel (!) auf einem improvisierten Standfuß als Grill auf die Terasse gestellt. Das funktioniert, ist aber spannend.
Das mit dem muffigen Geruch können wir bestätigen. Am Anfang ist es fast unangenehm, aber man gewöhnt sich nach nach ein paar Tagen. Es roch nicht wirklich nach Schimmel, aber die alten Balken und Einrichtungsgegenständen verströmen eine recht eigenwillige Duftnote. Wir musste zu Hause auch ungetragene Wäsche mehrfach waschen, um den Geruch wieder zu entfernen. Der Wäscheservice besteht aus Bettzeug und Handtüchern, die bei uns in 12 Tagen 2x gewechselt wurden. Ich hatte (wie in Vorrezensionen beschrieben) ebenfalls den Eindruck, dass alle Wäsche irgendwie feucht bleibt. Während unseres Aufenthalts hat es gewittert, wobei für mehrere Stunden der Strom ausfiel (war zum Glück über Nacht). Das Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht, weil wir über FeWo-Direkt garnicht erfahren haben, dass es das gibt. Wir haben aber gesehen, dass es immer frisch zubereitet und zum Ferienhaus (der anderen Gäste) gebracht wurde.
Highlight war, eines morgens eine Treppennatter im Schlafzimmer zu finden - da die Fenster keine hermetische Abriegelung bedeuten, sondern überall Spalte sind, kann man das auch nicht wirklich verhindern. Vielleicht sind dagegen ja die Zugluftrollen hilfreich, die in allen Fenstern liegen (und ruhig eine Wäsche sehen könnten).
