We absolutely loved this place. The beds so comfy !!! Our hot tub bathroom was amazing!!! And Amber Dawn was the sweetest person ive ever meet that worked a front desk so polite and informative, give her a raise!!!!!
That there wasn't a breakfast. I would be great if the hotel offered a simple breakfast like freshfruit, bagels , pastries, hard boiled eggs hot coffee, tea . It would totally take this place to the next level .

Beautiful property and great rooms! I went for a standard king bed room and loved it. Easy check-in, helpful staff. Port Townsend is a lovely spot for a holiday.

The worst experience of my life.
They shared they were having a New Year’s Eve party and all guest were welcome. They didn’t explain that it was a rave and that our room was above the massive speaker and that the windows and furniture would be rattling and moving due to the loud music and vibrations. This part went on until 4am in the morning. It was a nightmare!

I loved the historical feel of the place, the welcoming staff and spending time imagining the grandeur of the past.
All good!

The interior design and furnishing was in keeping with the1920s. The bed was really comfortable, and the room large and clean.
We didn't have complaints. Thought it may be confusing trying to find your way out during a fire. The hallways are long with alcoves and recessed areas.

The staff were amazing, thoughtful, pleasant, gave good advise on things to do and see. There was live music downstairs that was awesome!
It was all good. The Castle was great.

The castle is beautiful. I love the fountain in the front and the study inside is amazing. The restaurant was delicious. Honestly, my expectations were exceeded by everything.
The ghosts.. just kidding but I was worried about an encounter.

Manresa is beautiful! Great woodwork and tastefully decorated. Definitely haunted, we had a variety of experiences but felt zero negative energy. Footsteps, thumps, voices, doors slamming, etc. Very fun! Would recommend.

The history of the hotel was preserved and on display. Excellent Mexican restaurant too.
The mattress was older than I’ve seen in quite a while.

Dinner in the restaurant was awesome, the staff was incredible. The food was great and the long island ice teas were perfect. We were hoping for ghost experiences but nothing this time. The front desk ladies and housekeeping were all very helpful and kind. We will be back!
They need air conditioning! But there were ceiling fans and table top fans and that worked.

Location was near the town - but not walking distance. There was a restaurant and bar on premises.
It was dated. But, hey, this is an old historic hotel.

Someone was cooking cabbage or something really stinky on my last morning. It woke me up!

The view from my room was fantastic- I watch sunrise from my bed. The history of the building was remarkable and the restaurant was great.
The weather was mild and I was comfortable with a fan and the window open but if it had been hot- with no air conditioning in the room, it might have been unpleasant.

Staff helped me carry my luggage up the 3 sets of stairs to get to the 3rd floor room.
Not close to being ADA compliant. You have to climb stairs to even got to the lobby. And if you check in after 10pm, there is not operational elevator. I had to climb stairs to the 3rd floor.
There is a ramp to get to the bottom of 2nd set of entry stairs, but not all the way to the lobby. The ramp did not appear to be professionally installed, and the rise/run, the steepness, is not up to code. I could not imagine trying to get a wheelchair up without help.

Pretty quiet. Better location than I anticipated as it was just a mile from the ferry dock and just couple blocks off highway. Loved the small garden area and the fantastic view from my room window!
The property has lots of wonderful potential that hasn’t been developed. Outside covered area could be a fantastic outside venue for music or eating. Gardens could be spectacular with some further management.

Manresa Castle was a gem. It is ideal for someone who wants a unique place to land. A lovely blending of Victorian charm and modern amenities. I only wish we could have stayed longer than one night to explore the property more, learn more about its rich history, and enjoy the restaurant! My 18yo daughter has said multiple times she'd love to stay there again.
The bathroom was spacious and clean with a beautiful tile floor and antique sink fixtures. The shower was glorious after a very long day of travel. Water pressure, hot water and ventilation were great. I loved the soaps and shampoos which were provided - SO lovely and smelled light and refreshing. Also, the towels were the fluffiest we had on our whole 6-day road trip!
There is a small, original (?) Otis elevator available for use up until I believe 10pm. We had a late-night check-in and hauled all of our luggage up to the second floor (which was a lonnnng way with a place that has such high first-floor ceilings). It was great to take advantage of the elevator on the way out though! Must be operated by one of their staff.
The Queen room we stayed in was fairly small, but worked well enough for my daughter and me for one night. If I was to travel here for a longer stay, a larger room would be preferable. I'm not sure what kinds of different rooms they offer, but it suited us well enough for the night.
Even with the shades down, quite a lot of light seeps into the room all night from both the bedroom window (around the edges of the shades), and under the bathroom door (via the large, bright window in the bathroom), as well as the main/hallway door. If you need "blackout" conditions to sleep well, you may want to note this.
The historical design does allow a bit of sound from the neighboring guests' room, but that didn't cause me any problem and came as no surprise. I, however, was concerned that our neighbors may have been disturbed by my own coughing that night (as I was fighting a bug).

Actually nothing about this hotel experience was "Enchanting".
From check-in until departure, the experience was terrible. Guests can only use the elevator if a staff member accompanies the guest. Not having the elevator available is very inconvenient as it is cumbersome and challenging to tote luggage up three stories in narrow hallways. I would suggest a "bell-hop" to deliver luggage and accompany guests to their rooms.
The condition of the rooms was so embarrassing that I refrained from sharing photos of the room with my family and friends.
Despite the name "Enchanted Castle," nothing was 'Enchanting"' about the Hotel. The 'Enchanted' theme was not promoted in any way. I would expect to see staff dressed in period costumes and hear period-appropriate music playing in the lobby, library, dining area, bar, and hallways, but this was not the case.
The restaurant did not live up to the 'Enchanted' theme. It looked more like a dining area for a retirement home or nursing facility. The ambiance was not that of the circa 1800s. The prominent items on the Menu were Mexican Food?
This facility is a mess. It has potential, but it would take extensive renovation and development of the theme, decor, staff training, menu development, entertainment, and an operator who emphasizes pleasing the guests.
Regrettably, I cannot see myself returning to this Hotel, nor can I recommend it to anyone traveling through or visiting Port Townsend. Extensive renovations overshadow this facility's potential of an "Enchanted" Hotel of the late 1800s.

Gorgeous property, amazingly friendly staff!
So much history and some fun “ghost” stories were shared. Oh and taking a trip in the oldest running elevator in Washington state was creepy and so fun! The grounds are gorgeous and well kept, the natural light in the bathroom was simply amazing! This place was simply charming and restaurant in side was absolutely divine! We will definitely recommend and stay again.

It’s an old castle and had the feel of it. Room was clean and well maintained. Coffee available for the guests. Went to bed early and the ghosts decided to interrupt (shower door kept opening and closing with a ‘bang’. It stopped after I acknowledged them. Then in the morning I told my husband “it’s time to get up” and the TV turned on. How fun!
No hair dryer. I had to use the heater in the room, so it worked out ok. Shower head is extremely low, so you may have to shrink down to use the shower.

This will have been my 6th time staying, the first I booked a room with the jacuzzi. I was not impressed with it as there was mold on walls and ceiling. The jacuzzi itself has seen better days as it has marks that appear to be dirty. There was hair in there so I opted to just use the shower instead so I did not get to enjoy the bath. The room was nice and clean however, and the staff was friendly. Good amenities, ice machine and vending machines. Great location for exploring and shopping.
