Great location in the west side of Austin

It was in a good location and it had great views. The front desk staff were nice. Parking was convenient and was included with the room.

On the surface, the room looked nice. Taking a closer look, it wasn't very functional. The bathroom had louvered doors, so there was no real privacy. There also was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. It was hit-or-miss getting the towels refreshed every night. The mini-fridge had 2 bottles of water when we arrived and those were supposed to be replaced every night but they weren't. There was only one chair in the room so one of us had to sit on the bed. We got a call from the front desk on our last full day there that they wanted to bring a sofa up since there had been one in there before, but we said to wait until we checked out because, frankly, we didn't know where there was enough space for a sofa anyway. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too soft. They sunk in the middle.

Comfortable and quaint amenities in a good location, could use some updates and overall transparency

Great location within the hills of Austin. Really enjoyed the view from the room. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast options were very tasty. The check in process was seamless and the front desk staff were friendly.

The rooms are clean and comfortably, but they are not quite as updated as the pictures appear online [some stains on the carpets]. There are a few tricky non-disclosures, such as the breakfast restaurant charging $5 for coffee but not letting you know that you could bring the free complementary coffee that is being served a few feet away into the restaurant instead. Also we were offered "free parking" as a complimentary add-on, only to find out that every guest has the option for free parking in the garage. When we brought this up with the front desk after our car had already been valet parked [which we thought was included], we were just told sorry and charged the after hours fee anyways. This could have been handled much better.

Location was perfect and the staff was incredibly accommodating. I could’ve not asked for a more perfect place to have proposed to my girlfriend. I want to especially thank Isabella, the front desk manager, for being amazingly accommodating, especially in such short notice, and for the strawberries and champagne. I was not expecting any of that and that went above and beyond any of my expectations. I will look forward to booking with this hotel for future anniversaries and special events. My fiance and I Want to thank the hotel with sincerity for everything

Great place to stay

Staff at the desk was amazing and super friendly Room views were incredible. Rooms were very nice Onsite parking was great

Cleaning staff were poor: 1) They left our room service tray outside our room for 2 days. The only reason why they eventually took it is because I put it next to the elevator. 2) When our room was cleaned each day they were supposed to leave to bottles of water each day. We stayed 6 days and they didn’t provide water on 3 of those days. Safe didn’t work, eventually got fixed and then didn’t work again.

I was mislead and told that the SPA was included in the price of the room. I called the Hotel three times and was told (by Dom and another front desk staff) that I would have access to the sauna, steam room, hot pool, and swimming pool if I book a room. I ended up paying 90 $ extra upon arrival to have access to the sauna and steam room. Not nice to be fooled.

Not worth the money for a moldy, outdated property.

Nice location outside of the city, beautiful views of the hills. Also loved the staff at the bar and restaurant, they were kind and helpful.

So many things about my stay were subpar for a luxury property. My hotel room was not ready at 4pm. When I got into the room, the thermostat was set to 75 degrees on a 90+ degree day. The hotel room itself was spacious, however it smelled of mold especially in the shower. Had I booked for longer than one night, I would have left the property for the exposure to that level of mold and mildew.

Pleasant but not exceptional.

The staff was great. Everyone was personable and professional. The suite upgrade we received was a pleasant surprise. Food quality and presentation were great.

The overall atmosphere was great, but there seemed to be a lot of maintenance going on while we were there. (Upon arrival, the usual elevators were out of order so guests were required to use alternate elevators and access hallways with cleaning equipment, storage boxes, and excess equipment everywhere.) The bathroom set up in the suite we had was less private and less functional than usual at an upscale facility such as this.

I think the staff was busy with the wedding that weekend, didn’t had much eye for the other hotel guests. Didn’t feel welcome. Had a brunch in the hotel, but was placed outside of the restaurant for unknown reasons which was odd, then had plastic in my food, complained about it but it was implied I put it in myself. Also the room was spacious but very dusty.

The rooms need to be updated. They are showing their age, carpet stained in room and in hallways. Stayed here when it was the Granduca and only thing changed was the lobby and entrance furniture and fixtures. Room, hallways, all same paint and decor. Coffee maker did not work, fridge barely kept beverages above warm. Maintenance staff was nice, he changed out the coffee maker for us.

The restaurant Laurel was the best hotel restaurant I have ever eaten in (and I’m a foodie.) 4 meals there and all were outstanding for flavor, presentation, and the menu offered good variety.

Spa is a little small but it was remodeled from the Hotel Granduca, which did not have a spa so they created one. The spa experience was very nice though.
