Merrynook

Staying at Merrynook was truly an exceptional experience. This warm and cozy cabin near the giant sequoias comes with all the amenities you need. Right from the start there is the amazing artwork created by the owner on every wall. In addition, a vast collection of books like I have ever seen in a rental! The kitchen offers all the tools we needed, as we cooked every night. Bedrooms have comfortable beds and linens. The bathroom is large with a fabulous clawfoot tub. The garden with local fauna is artistic and whimsical. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in the mountains!

If you are looking for quaint, look no further. House could fit 4 or more comfortably. Owners were super nice people. House is fully stocked, BBQ, washer even suntan lotion and such. Firewood included. Just bring food. They have a second property next door. Friendly cat lives on the property.

Not a negative, just know that this is not a new fancy place, and water did turn off for a bit. Be aware the main highway is closed to Sequoia/Kings, I had to take detours through narrow ( but well paved) roads, but all worked out great. Cell service didn't work, but wifi did.

gorgeous site and comfortable lodging. The area was so relaxed and calm, perfect to unwind. Very good location for local National Parks.

Great location. Very charming and clean.

Wish there was air-conditioning and there was no cell phone service. A bit inconvenient, but we spent most of our time in the parks anyway. Otherwise, really enjoyed our stay.
