Unfortunately, this is an overpriced and outdated motel experience.

Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Always quick to respond to any questions we had prior to our arrival.

Sadly, this is really just a motel. We were disappointed that picture online make the property look more boutique-ish. Our room lacked any personality. White walls, stained cushions at the small dining table. A large room with nothing comfortable about it. Maybe place a loveseat at the foot of the bed? Bathroom had many issues - toilet flushed twice on its own, then continued to run for about 2 minutes before the water flow stopped. Shower didn't work properly - the mechanism to switch the faucet from tub to shower was jammed so it was half and half, standing in inches of water while trying to shower. In the morning, pipes moaned as the people above us showered. Breakfast was all prepackaged food - nothing fresh. We had just come from Phoenix at a Drury Inn where you were provided free dinner and drinks, hot breakfast for under $200 a night. This stay at $300 was a huge disappointment.

We loved this little boutique hotel! The rooms were comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly, great location, nice heated pool and jacuzzi, good help yourself continental breakfast selection, bikes available free of charge. Nothing not to like!

The stay was generally pleasant and we appreciated the staff's help to make late arrival easy.

We liked the swimming pool and hot tub, such a relaxing way. We also enjoyed the resort style vacation condo.

We were not told that our room would not be serviced unless we specifically asked for it! I do not expect to have to ask for a room to be serviced each day.For most of our stay the room was not serviced until we asked for it to be done. Even then we were not told we must request it each day. Only on theist day were we told of the requirement. When the room was serviced the bed clothes were not changed, only re-made. On no occasion was the bathroom cleaned nor the room vacuumed. The hotel is in need of refurbishment and a thorough clean.

The location, the peacefulness and hen addressed the staff were friendly.

Clean/comfortable and cozy! Loved the place and all it had to offer. Very clean rooms and beds were very comfortable! Small self serve breakfast area but just right for great coffee/juice/bagels! Ann was great at communicating check in and Lynda provided great restaurant recommendations. Just 5 minutes from downtown area! Highly recommend!

The hotel grounds are stunning! It is well kept and very clean. The staff are very welcoming! The rooms are a nice size. Some are remodeled and others as mine was are showing wear, yet they are very cleaned and well maintained.

The price when not in off season, tends to be on the higher end.

Love the temperature of pool, landscaping with humming birds. Breakfast is self service, kitchen is always open with snacks available, the coffee is very good. the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I absolutely didn't like that booking.com didn't pay the hotel for our room reservations. I had to give Hotel California my credit card # and was charged AGAIN before we could check in. The woman in the hotel office told me I'll have to call booking.com to get a refund. I spent almost 3 hours of "relaxation "time trying to talk to someone. I called 4 times, after going through all the prompts and waiting on hold for at least 30 minutes the call was disconnected each time. Talk about frustration!! instead of enjoying the beautiful weather and property. The next day the hotel was paid and our credit card was refunded. I'll never go through booking.com again. I do miss the drinks and happy hour 😩

Beautiful, quiet little gem in the desert.

Romantic, charming little gem in the desert. Staff was super welcoming and helpful. We had a little glitch on the keyless entry, and it turned out they had a system issue, and some other problems, that resulted in me getting an upgraded room. It was marvelous! Candlelit pool and spa was a beautiful touch. We had a girls' getaway weekend and it was perfect. Also appreciate the snacks and beverages in room - very thoughtful.

So the pool grout needs updating. That's it.

Marvellous Hotel, great staff and location

From the moment my son and I arrived on our road trip for a three night stay, Terri and the staff offered excellent service. This small 16 room hotel was well located to enjoy the Palm Springs environment. It almost felt like a private villa. Would certainly recommend the hotel and hope to revisit when next in the area.

I recently stayed at Hotel California and it was fantastic! This adults-only, boutique hotel is truly a hidden gem. We stayed in one of the two-level accommodation, which featured a spacious living room and a full kitchen downstairs, with the bedroom and additional full bathroom upstairs. Having a full bathroom on each level was incredibly convenient. The room had two lovely outdoor seating areas, perfect for relaxing and enjoying my morning coffee. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the experience even better. Corbin took the time to show us around when we checked in we had a great chat about an autographed picture in their lobby of the Eagles from 1977. He wasn't even born yet but it brought back wonderful memories for me! A continental breakfast was included each morning and there were thoughtful extras like snacks stocked in the room. The courtyard area with the swimming pool and hot tub was beautiful and well-maintained, complete with overhead misters, plenty of beach towels, sunscreen and even pool noodles and floaties for extra fun. Parking was easy and the location couldn't have been better-close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. Overall, Hotel California offers the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and outstanding hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palm Springs!

Small and comfortable hotel. The area is very pleasant. We even took a bikes on reception and have a wonderful ride through the town.
