8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
I liked the picnic basket brought to our room with breakfast each morning. I liked its proximity to restaurants in walking distance. The bed and linens were quality, as well as the products in bathroom. Water, ice and coffee service was nice as well as the gas fireplace. I liked the spaciousness of the room.
In general the room’s furniture could use some updates, be more functional, and esthetically pleasing. Like the refrigerator could be hidden, the tv be mounted and swivel, bedside tables where you could use them. The room above ours was loud, sounding like a giant walking around and our room was also very close to the street noise with sirens.

The Reluctant Panther has an extremely cosy atmosphere and very nice rooms. The Vermont clap-board house charm really comes through and the entire staff is very charming and helpful.
Everything was really neat and comfortable.
