Bathroom well equipped with a good shower. Plenty of electrical points to use in the main room made a great change. Comfortable bed

Clean, nice office checking experience. Near the visitor center and the hot springs aquatic center.

Rooms very small, both toilet and tub/shower were in a closet space. Parking very tight if driving a larger vehicle or pulling a trailer.

My room was very close to a busy highway. Between the noise from the traffic and the AC unit, I did not get very much sleep. The decor of the room was depressing it was all brown from the bed covering, flooring, and furniture, of course the linens were white. Minimum toiletries.

Breakfast wasn't available. But the staff was very kind.

Floors were a little dirty. But not a major deal. Power went out for a minute or two. Lights kept flickering. Still nothing to really worry about.

Not actually dog friendly

This property showed up when I searched for dog friendly lodging, and it’s on the Salida’s Chamber of Commerce list of dog friendly accommodations. When I checked in, they said only certain rooms are dog friendly and that I needed to upgrade to a double king room AND pay an additional dog fee. It nearly doubled the cost of the stay. Some amenities were also unavailable.

When we drove up to the "lodge" (motel), my husband was very leery. But the room was clean and comfortable. There is an indoor pool that we enjoyed. Not fancy, but it is comfortable.

I liked the clean sheets.

The facilities are in a state of decay. It seems that the owner is also the desk clerk, the grounds keeper- which have been on a low priority list for quite some time, the spa repair person ( not repaired), and money changer- of which he was excellent in his skill. I would propose that the facility be shuttered for 3 months, 200,000. Be invested to upgrade every room to 1980 standards at least.

Ok place, if last minute for one night it's a good stay.

There was a vacancy at the last minute and the staff were very nice.

The room was not clean. We are Airbnb hosts and understand how that can happen at times. Maybe this was not a typical situation. However, we found hair in the bathroom, in the shower, and toilet area. It was not a major issue for us, but worth noting. We also felt the rooms were paper-thin for noise.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Loved walking the trail behind the Lodge. Also enjoyed the fire pit and smores. We met a wonderful older couple at the fire pit. Everyone was friendly.

Front desk reception was attentive at check-in. Provided us with a room that was toward the back of the property away from the highway, so traffic noise was at a minimum, Room, although small was clean, well-laid out; very suitable for a one night stay. Cable TV reception excellent, shower water pressure good

Loved the beds, the cleaning staff was great, kind and helpful.

The motel is right on the highway through town and that made for a noisy stay. Although it did quiet down late at night, if I stayed there again I would ask for a room at the back of the motel.

Horrible smell. We broke in our luggage, turn the fans in and the air on 60. The disinfectant smell was horrible. Better when we came back 2 hours later. Towels were rough and pillows not the best.
