Used to be better than what it is

It was only a short drive to my sister-in-laws.

When getting a shower and closing the shower curtain, a bunch of beard hair fell out of it. And there was even a bunch of hair on the back of the toilet and so much dust on the air vent in the bathroom when we got into the room, there was a bunch of stains on the Decorative comforter, and then when you pull that down, there were what looked like dried blood spots on the blanket, the room phone to contact the front desk did not work. The sound on the television was going out and the breakfast. The next morning was very subpar.

We would not stay there again

There was very little Besides waffles and cereal. I guess there was some yogurt and toast. The coffee was terrible.

The pool area still had cleaning supplies lying around. It was also cold. The whole hotel needs updating very badly.

My initial assigned room wasn't clean and I had to be relocated to another room, the toilet wouldn't flush, the room was in decay. I will never stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here a few years ago and it was fine.. fast forward to this year… the hotel is ran down, there’s people clearly on drugs hanging around the lobby.. we get to our room and there’s a couple laying in the hallway on the floor in front of our room door.. we had to ask the them to move so we could enter our room. The bathroom floors were disgusting, covered in dirt. We checked in late so we decided to stay. By the time we checked out, all of our belongings were covered in FLEAS! Yes, FLEAS. I was picking fleas off of me and throwing them out of the window the whole trip home. We still have not brought our belongings in from the trip. The hotel refuses to refund our stay and we are out that money and the money we have to use to treat our belongings for FLEAES. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I didn't like anything there. The room was not worth the money. The pool was dark and freezing. The staff was rude and I would not recommend it to anyone. It was the worst hotel experience of my life.

We booked the hotel for the pool and free breakfast. The pool was closed for maintenance which was not mentioned on the website. The free breakfast was just waffle and bread for toast and cereal. We were located at the end of the hall on the second floor and across the hall was the fire hose and there was no fire hose in the locked glass box but it have a up to date fire extinguisher. The only ice was on the main floor.

Staff was friendly

Need alot of updating. Main lobby seemed to be maintained, but elevators were sketchy and halls are dated and feel like you found the "back rooms". Our bathroom needed the corners cleaned and construction seemed like sloppy work. Attention to detail isn't there. But it was also 77 a night so what more can you expect.

We have stayed here several times over the years and their pool, gym, etc have been closed for “maintenance.” They are just too cheap to fix anything. Housekeeping came to our room on day 1 and took our towels but didn’t replace them, never took our trash. Day 2 they took our towels and replaced them with wet towels and still never took our overflowing trash. Day 3 they just came to our door and handed my husband new towels and still never took our trash so finally we walked our own trash to the main trash bin on our floor. The front desk staff is very short with you during check in and check out. “What’s the name, ID, credit card, etc” no greetings, or pleasantries. There are water leak signs all throughout the hotel on the ceilings in rooms, hallways, etc. definitely needs updating. We will not be back.

Excellent staff, cheap ownership

I wanted to go for a swim and then relax in the hot tub. We stayed at this hotel six months ago and the pool was not in working order then. I expressed my frustration to the front desk. A young man I assume was a manager went out of his way to accommodate me. I really appreciated that he allowed me to use a jacuzzi. I’d had a long ride, and it was great to both have time alone and to relax. I really appreciated his service!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this location. I asked both times for handicapped accessible rooms. My request was ignored. My mother travels with us because this is where her family lives. She is blind, 80 years old, and this time had her arm in a cast. She was unable to shower, had a hard time with the low toilet, and the high beds were difficult for her. She slept in the chair. Our breakfast was mediocre. The eggs had been frozen and were pretty gross. There was never enough yougurt, fruit, milk. It’s crazy that the lady running the breakfast bar was also checking folks out. There was never enough of her to go around. She was very apologetic and tried to be attentive. I reached out via email & by phone(left a voicemail) to confirm a handicapped room. I got no response. It’s crazy that the pool is not fixed six months later.

Not a good place to stay

It was a place to sleep close to our destination

Staff was not very nice. They let people take up more than one spot in the handicap so we had to park all the way at the other end of the parking lot, with a handicapped child in the dark. Accidentally left my pillow and a special needs helmet, so I called the next day when I realized it . The lady that answered the phone told me she didn't know if it was there she just got there, so I asked her to check and she said it's not here they bring everything down here. Very rude! My pillow and the helmet had to be there as that was the only place that we stayed. Now have to wait for a new helmet to be made as it's custom fit for his head and the kind of seizures he has, not to mention the cost of it and the fact that he can't do anything without it. Would not recommend and I would definitely not stay there again.

Convenient to the highway.

The property was in a convenient location off the highway. Staff were friendly.

The rooms were very old feeling and didn’t feel completely clean. The door locked securely, but it looked like someone had tried to break in at some point. The breakfast was mediocre and we opted to go to the nearby McDonald’s to get breakfast.

Honestly, I didn't like anything about this place and I won't be staying there again.

First of all, when I walked into the hotel the lady at the front desk was talking on her cellphone, she has her phone on speaker phone while she's talking about my reservation. The pool was closed, and when I asked that same lady at the front desk about it she was very rude about it. She said it said it's in the "fine print" that the pool was closed, then treated me like I was stupid. I did look and it didn't say that on here. The staff dressed like they just walked in off the street. The breakfast was terrible. That same lady mocked a guest at breakfast. The place is falling apart. The smoke alarm kept beeping the first night. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

I was unimpressed with the housekeeping protocol. I had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper daily as well request my trash be taken out. I was told by front desk staff that I'm required to request a full service cleaning. I've never heard of such a policy As a paying guest room service should simply be a given not a request. Especially when working long hours ECT... The carpet in my room had not been vacuumed not even once in my 3 week stay and I've had to change my bed linens 3 times. Staff did not even apologize for the incompetent housekeeping staff nor provide any compensation for my efforts. So yeah after working, moving, yada yada, I'm a little agitated. Perhaps a training session is a good place to start. Possibly mandate a dress code or issue uniforms for the staff, to bring a higher level of professionalism. That is all Trina Risch

Great location & price or do I thought. I cannot speak bad about location staff or cleanliness because we didn’t get to stay. I have support dog & another dog his puppy actually & I would have to pay 50 per dog per night on top of 150 deposit per room (we had 2) for a week stay add on 550 to what we were already paying to have conjoined room. I made reservations over the phone to make sure A. Dogs allowed, B charge for them, C we could have conjoined rooms as we are a construction crew from Michigan & it’s easier to cook together, eat & drink together as well as coronated times & rides to job sites. Reservations made for conjoined rooms & no charge for dogs & possible 1 room (dogs room) for the $150 deposit. Get there & no conjoined room’s reservation, $150 deposit per room period (fine we get that back we could understand to an extent) then $250 just for dogs & THEY DO NOT WAVE THE FEES FOR SUPPORT ANIMALS HERE!) the manager did try to give me a deal & took 60-80 off the $250 but we already are spending 700 on room 300 deposit & now 250 =1250 just to check in. No way at all that’s absurd

It was reasonably cheap and the rooms were clean, it was fine for a quick one night stay.

The hotel itself has a rather confusing set up with how floors go around. The ice machines were out on 2 of the floors, including the main level. They are doing renovations at the moment, so the pool wasn't available but it wasn't something we knew until check in, and the morning breakfast was very sparce. It was an adequate place to stay for a single overnight stay.

The lady at the counter laughed in my face when I asked for a refund 30 seconds after she ran my credit card in that same motion she tells me no pool and that was the main reason I rented the room and the same reason I asked for a refund they told me no refund allowed. A quiet comfortable room.

It was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable although a little too high for me, hard to get into.

This hotel was in disrepair. It looks like they are trying to fix it up but it needs landscaping done and easier parking, closer to the hotel. The pool, exercise etc. weren't open, but we didn't care to use them.

UNBELIEVABLE NIGHTMARE!

To: Chase Card Services From: Bill Flint Acct #: ending in **** On May 5th, we booked a one night stay at The Quality Inn and Conference Center in Richmond, Indiana, including "a hot breakfast for two". The reservation was made through Choice Hotels' agent, BKG HOTEL @booking.com. The Chase reference number is *******9118. 3PM, May 17- We checked in with Confirmation #*****213 and were given key cards for Room 330. After attending a funeral, we returned to a full, noisy hotel. The noise continued ALL night. But that's not all! 1AM- Someone attempted to enter our hotel room with another key card! They were prevented by the security bar , so they banged and rattled the door until I shouted "WRONG ROOM! KNOCK IT OFF!" Then silence. 1:15AM- Another attempt to get in with a key card, followed by a loud "F*CK!!" in the hall. 1:30AM- Our room phone rang. "Jon" from the front desk wanted us to identify ourselves, and said he showed no one registered in that room. We offered to bring our confirmation to the front desk, but he said he would figure it out. 3:15AM- The room phone rang AGAIN! Same guy, same request that we identify ourselves. After again offering to bring our confirmation to the front desk and being told it wasn't necessary, I called "Jon" back and asked him why he kept calling us in the middle of the night. He said the hotel was oversold and he needed our room, but he would figure this out. 3:30AM- Still unable to sleep, we packed up our belongings and went to the front desk in search of "Jon." The young lady at the front desk told us he was no longer there, and refused to give us the name of the manager or a contact number for the hotel, citing "privacy" reasons! READ MORE BELOW

4:15AM- After repeated requests, another employee at the front desk told the young lady to give us the manager's name and phone number. It became clear that no one was going to give us a refund for this nightmare. 4:45AM- We left and drove home in thick fog with NO sleep and NO included breakfast. Over the weekend, I spoke with both the hotel manager and Choice Hotels Corporate. I was offered only an apology and coupons for a discount on a future stay! I am certain we will NEVER stay there again. We are asking Chase to reverse this transaction and credit our card. I will also copy the hotel manager, social media and Yelp on this request.

Overall, I enjoyed my room. I was disappointed that the pool was closed and we didn't have Internet

I expected different things for breakfast, all they had was muffins, waffles, bagels, and cereal. I feel like they could've offered something a little different like scrambled eggs and toast with bacon or sausage. Other than that, it was ok, at least we didn't have to leave the hotel to get breakfast

I didn't like that they had waffle makers that I couldn't turn. I feel like the guy that was sitting at the desk should've came over and showed me how to use it, he saw me struggling.
