Hampton Inn & Suites Hood River

The room was spacious, and the view was good. The breakfast was great.

The carpet in the hallways and the rooms were filthy. This would definitely keep me from staying in this hotel when we come back up in a few month's.

Everything about this place was awesome and the Sushi place out in front of the building was a huge bonus

Some of the freeway noise was louder than "ideal"

We have stayed here before. We like the location being close to town and near festivities occurring or restaurants to eat at.

I didn’t like when we would go to the elevator that when the elevator arrived and doors were to open there was this “altered sound” (maybe in the shaft of the elevator) but typically all you hear is a ding when it reaches the lobby. Very weird sounding elevator.

Room was clean and well appointed. The view of the river was interesting.

We did request a quiet location and a high floor and neither request was accommodated. There was a dog barking down the hall when we checked in, but it was quiet when we returned from dinner. And we could hear the bed squeaking next door periodically. Finally, we were told on check in that it would be a simple matter to split the bill upon checkout, but that turned out to be beyond the ability of the desk clerk in the morning, so that left us with an issue of sorting out the trip finances and left my friend without the ability to get some points on her card.

The front staff was very warm and very helpful. The staff made the place.

The bed was okay but not as comfortable as I like it. I like it more soft.

Location was close to town and the Riverwalk. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ample free parking. The Hood River excursion train was only a few blocks away.

Breakfast selections were limited. There was highway noise from I-84, but it wasn't loud enough to be annoying.

We were given the suite because we had two little ones and it was right across from the pool, their favorite place. We were on the main floor and that was excellent because we were there to bike so hauling our bikes up stairs would have been a pain but they had thought about it all before we got there. They let us check in early, which is nice beyond!!

I have no idea what they could have done to make it better. Everybody was so nice and helpful.

We love the location to all the shops and amenities down by the river. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The room was perfect for our needs.

The Location. The waterfront park was a 2 minute walk if that. The staff was very friendly and the the room was very clean and sanatized. We love Hood River and will definitely stay here from now on. We have stayed in other places in Hood River and this was by far our favorite.

I didn't like the outdoor lights in front of our 1rst floor windows. They shined in between the shades and keep the room from getting very dark at night. The black out curtains only closed so far. I'm sure its it's a security thing. We never felt unsafe.

Location is great. Views of the river were beautiful. Kobe Sushi is right next door and delicious. Continental breakfast was nice.

Our room was ok. Cabinet on desk area was crooked/broken. Walls are exceptionally thin, as we heard everything happening in the room next to ours. We were told there was Netflix and Showtime on the TV, but there was not. We called to see why it was advertised that way and were told those apps/shows would only be available if we brought our own firestick. What?! Limited DirecTv is a bit archaic for this expensive of a room. If you advertise Netflix and other apps, you should have them, or you should warn guests these options will require your own firestick (which is ridiculous). Signing into WiFi was also not working using the QR code on the television; husband had to go down to the front desk to get separate instructions and password. I was told at check-in that I'd be charged a 50 incidental fee that would go back on my card in 5 to 7 days, provided there was no damage to room or we didn't purchase any snacks. Would have liked to have known this BEFORE check-in. Overall, we felt this hotel was extremely over-priced for what it offers.

Breakfast was good as always but need to do away with those dry egg meat on English muffin type things and just do scrambled eggs sausage and bacon. Need microwave popcorn, either in room or at lease for sale in shop.

Location and helpful staff

Loved the room size, the bed was COMFY, and the bathroom was huge and luxurious feeling. The room was clean and well lit. They made you feel very welcome. It was definitely worth the stay!

There is no microwave in the room, and the parking for trailers and RVs was non-existent. Where they wanted you to park (a west side access road) was too far from view to be comfortable leaving it there.

Everyone there made you feel welcome. Very niceroom. It was our anniversary and we got special little things. Pool was fabulous,

Hot tub was cooler than expected but the next day, it was closed, so I'm assuming ing the heater had gone out.
