The building and grounds are lovely with many excellent public areas to read or just appreciate the lake views. The view from our bedroom was perfect.
The room was small. the room was advertised as having a private balcony which would have been had we used it.

There really was nothing that could have been better. The.owners Joe and Patti, and the manager Laura were all a pleasure to deal with!

Our room - and the communal lounge and eating area - was furnished to a very high standard. The property was spotlessly clean even though it did not appear to be a space that would easy to keep clean. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very much at home. Our stay at The Boathouse was definitely the highlight of our holiday in upstate New York and New England and we would strongly recommend it. While it was certainly not cheap, it was nevertheless good value for money, in our opinion. The property is, as its name implies, directly on the Lake with excellent views. It is in easy walking distance of the restaurants in the Sagamore Hotel and in Bolton Landing.
We had no complaints.
