If you want a romantic getaway in the mountains, this is it!

The view was spectacular from our room. Lodge is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Spectacular scenic hiking trails close by. Food (paid extra for breakfast but worth it) was excellent. Within reasonable driving distance of other local attractions near Idaho Springs. The couple who run this B&B are friendly and awesome. If you want a romantic getaway in the mountains, this is it!

Sure, I could find something to complain about, but they are “first world problems” kind of stuff. Overall this was such an overwhelmingly positive experience.

A short drive from Denver, but a world away!

Really appreciate that the towels and bedding were super comfortable and scent-free! This is a huge point of appreciation, especially given the opportunity to enjoy such amazing fresh, crisp, mountain air.

Coffee was not good. Too weak and flavored - went to town for good coffee. This was the only negative

Spectacular views during winter. Cozy fireplace. Superb home-made breakfast. Very gracious host. Easy access to the St Mary’s Glacier hike.

Wonderful quiet cozy getaway

Beautiful spot. A wonderful getaway. The owners are extremely courteous and take a lot of pride in their home.

A few things we wished we'd realized beforehand though: it's a trek up 3,000 feet to get up there and the last turn is gravel road so if it's been snowing you are definitely going to want all wheel or 4 wheel drive of some sort We definitely slid a bit and we had all wheel drive. Other item is there's basically a 10pm curfew no one mentioned until we went to leave. There was a sign on the door that said they lock the door at 10pm and after that it is quiet hours. Lastly there are no tv's in the rooms and the wifi isn't strong enough to stream anything. We were only there for a night so none of this bothered us but for an extended stay this wouldn't have worked for our needs

Great little getaway on top of the world.

This was a beautiful log Bnb in a gorgeous location. The views were spectacular, interior was very nice and cozy, The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and would recommend future guests reserve a dinner as well!

Disappointed and felt ripped off

I paid double the advertised rate plus the charges for breakfast even though it is advertised as “bed and breakfast” and “breakfast included”. I reserved a room for approximately 170 then received a bill for an additional 160ish the next day. This was falsely advertised, we will not be back.

Silver Lake Lodge is a cozy, secluded stay with beautiful views. It is definitely worth the stay!

We only booked one night, but it was a cozy, beautiful place! The views were amazing, the coffee was great, the room was beautiful. The breakfast was worth the extra cost, as it was delicious.

This is a pro and con, but the place was pretty secluded. Idaho Springs downtown was the closest place to get food, as we didn't reserve a dinner. It was a little out of the way, but not a big deal.

What's not to like? This was great. Had a room with balcony and loved it. Great breakfast. Came in late so missed the dinner but it smelled good. Wish I could bring that bed home. Second best part.

The location was hard to get to. Especially at night. Coming from out of state our phone service went in and out. Print a map. Also kinda wish there was a tv however small...
