Birthday weekend

If you're looking for a hotel to share with your four-legged friend, the Coachman Hotel is the perfect solution. The property is entirely dog-friendly, and the common areas are welcoming and cozy. It feels like staying in a mountain cabin. Happy hour is available from 3 pm to 5 pm, and the hot tub is available until late, perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes.The rooms are spacious and well-equipped (hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel included). The shower is modern and large.

The lighting in the room isn't the best.

This property is very rundown. It is old outdated. The pictures on booking.com and on the Internet are misleading. The rooms have an odor, the beds are lumpy, it is somewhere that I absolutely could not stay!

Our stay is pretty mellow. We like it here and we got to see cute animals roaming around the area.

We like the Coachman only during Summer season. Because of the resort fee that is really additional. Winter - who would go to the pool? It's too cold to walk over from the room to the pool (heated). The additional resort fee kind of lack benefits during Winter season.

The resort fees - terrible and unfair practice. It doesn't benefit much with the fee. However, only that fee make sense during summer season, which as better deals. But winter? Please. I don't agree with this one resort fee.

The location of the room, the lack of guest service in every aspect from checking in, questions answered, amenities ordered and received, to checking out. Other than the housekeeper who delivered our towels and the front desk agent who finally took care of us when our original agent completely ignored us, every staff interaction was poor and had issues.

Our go to when visiting Lake Tahoe. Love the proximity to South Lake Tahoe downtown, within 30min drive to amazing trails, the s’mores evenings by the fire pit and last but not least.. amazingly friendly with dogs!

Really modern cool vibe. The facilities are new and chic. They have Smore's time for the guests at evenings. Bed was super comfy. And - THEY HAVE HEATING TOILET SEAT!

Cool, Modern, everything you need and close to all South Lake things

- Staff was really friendly and clear, loved that they gave you a retro room card and a little print out with details - Location was ok like 15min walk to the casinos / restaurants etc so no bad - Style of the whole hotel was modern, clean but also a little retro and cozy esp the fire pits and the fact that the hotel room didn't have motel nasty carpet it was like simple non slip black tile + concrete i think was really different and i appreciated that since we were hiking so we had some dirty boots so you knew that house keeping was cleaning it well :) - I didn't get to use the hot tub or pool but it looked small but very nice, also didn't go to the beach but it's a cool perk that you have private access to the lake - Park is SUPER easy, free and close to the rooms which is a huge plus in that busy busy South Lake area

- The bathroom where the toilet and the shower was kinda small, but honestly the whole room was pretty big so not a huge deal - Where the sink was there was a counter edge that wrapped around at the sink so it preventing you from getting your face close to the mirror while putting on make up so that was a little annoying but honestly not a deal breaker deal

Reception staff super helpful, they let us check in at 7am after an unexpected early arrival. Reception area is great with good coffee (a little pricey). Rooms were decent enough.

Free daily day passes handed out to the private beach (Lakeside Beach - which usually is $40!) the hotel offered free parking too! I loved the free smores kit every night. The main hotel reception area was modern and well decorated.

Beautiful property and you can tell that they continue to invest in creating a unique destination for younger couples in Tahoe.

The only real complaint is that sometimes the pool and hot tub were overrun with kids. The entire atmosphere seems geared towards couples and younger folks and it was disappointing to not be able to use the hot tub while there a like 10 young children that have commandeered the hot tub.
