    We stayed here over July 4 weekend and had a nice stay. The pros are the location is fabulous EZ walking distance to the lake and state line. We did not need to get in the car at all. Staff are super friendly and they have good coffee in the lobby area. The room was not super clean. There were cobwebs all around but the only dealbreaker for me for why I would hesitate staying there again is it is extremely loud when you have a room above you we could hear every single step, cough, and even cell phones ring. If you are a light sleeper at all, I would just recommend you ask for a high floor room with no one above you. Other than that, I would definitely recommend the hotel.

    The room didn’t match the photos at all. First off the room had concrete floors with no rug so the floor was freezing. The bathroom was the worst! The door was less than an inch from hitting the toilet so it was hard to get in and out. The sink area had so much caulk and peeling paint. The shower was beyond gross with mildew. They tried hiding it by painting the grout black. Black paint was splattered and dripping on the walls too. The shade in the room was nasty. The bed cover had bleach spots all over it. The coffee in the room consisted of a teapot and instant coffee packets. We had a ground floor and could hear everything from the people above us. Honestly, the whole place looked like a diy project gone wrong.

    The people around The Coachman are nice and some are very helpful. The Smores are cool. Jacuzzi does not have bubbles. The rooms are too small, shabby (one of our lamps didn’t work) dark and pretty cheap. This room with a tiny balcony is not worth ***/ night stay. Location near the lake and downtown Tahoe is great.
