The owners & staff were all fantastic. Greeted each morning by name at breakfast. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing & the views were gorgeous. Each day there were new table settings & set for dining, not just 'I'm eating breakfast.' The game room, in the main house, was really neat as well. It was kind of nostalgic & you could feel the history. Also, I stayed in the carriage house, & I must say... the bed was SO very comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was big & there was heated flooring in bathroom area.. and rocking chairs in the room. I ordered the add on local snack basket, & it was fantastic & worth the cost. Rosie, the estate kitty, let me pet her & even came up in my lap, which made me happy, because they say she slmost never does that. I took a walk through neighborhood area & it was beautiful & peaceful. The entire time was just a grand & wonderful stay &
I'd definitely stay again.
There was only 1 thing I never could figure out in the cottage, & that was how to get the fireplace to come on. The remote would light up, but would never beep & never could get it to come on. I love looking at a fireplace (even if I only used the light & no heat fxn)... but 1 of the nights was kinda rainy, & slightly cooler, so it may have been nice to have a touch of added heat from a flickering fireplace. (But, also on behalf of the owners, I forgot to ever ask them about it, so it may have just been me. I tried following guide on back of remote, but just never got it figured out.)
