The staff was wonderful. Every staff member I interacted with was helped, polite and pleasant.

Breakfast was good, lots of options including cooked food like biscuits and gravy, sausage and bacon and eggs, and lots of pastries and cereals. There was a nifty pancake machine, plus waffles and lots of bread varieties. Good coffee.

The room was in disrepair. There was a weird hanger contraption in the closet, that didn’t work. The shower curtain did not fit the rod, so one side had to hang open, and the shower head was missing. The hand held shower head was attached to the rod where the regular head had been with a weird plastic bracket. You couldn’t get it to spray straight into the tub at the correct angle and it got all wonky if you tried to hold it and shower, because the hose went through the plastic gadget. Totally weird,

Good, provided me with a place to sleep overnight on short notice and a good breakfast in the morning.

The staff was very helpful. The location was convenient and the breakfast spread was good. The bed was comfortable.

The rooms need better soundproofing, I thought the windows were open when I walked in because of how well I could hear the freeway traffic. I would have liked the option to run the fan continuously for white noise but the thermostat didn’t have that option. The room was a little musty but I did notice that I got used to it, it wasn’t overwhelming.

Seriously the noisiest place I have ever stayed. Right next to the freeway. Rooms are not soundproofed. Neighbours on the floor above noisy as well. I thought I’d put on white noise by running the fan but I was locked out as you cannot run the fan manually. It’s controlled by a thermostat with a minimum temp of 68 and maximum of 72. No independent fan mode. Grrrr. Two restless nights.

Overall I had a very good stay and would stay there again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable. I needed to change rooms when my friend joined me (she needed handicap help) staff was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Kitchen staff was friendly and helpful.

Toilet in my first room was so low it reminded me of being in a preschool. The shower in the second room needs work. We couldn’t get it to work.

Female representative when checking in at 3 pm on July 13. Very rude & unprofessional. When asked for another representative, he was very nice & accommodating. He said she never follows protocol and is always rude to the everyone.

A bit warm due to the AC not being able to be lowered but otherwise good experience!

AC wasn’t working that well, 69-70 was a bit warm for us to sleep. We were not able to lower it or keep the fan on for ventilation, the thermostat didn’t go lower than 69. We left for few hours somehow it was 76 when we returned.

The hotel is clean and quiet; parking was easy and secure; bed and pillows very clean and comfortable; shower was hot and strong; the breakfast was typical for a mid range business hotel (hot eggs, bacon/sausage, pancakes; yogurt/fruit/cereal, variety of muffins/breads/bagels; coffee/tea/juices. Staff were attentive, friendly and professional.

Hotels in the San Diego area are incredibly expensive. This particular one is on the less expensive end, but the price is still too high, but comparatively, it was reasonable.

One of the beds you could feel the bed springs and was very uncomfortable especially laying on your side and even after bringing a mattress pad from a family members home. Having a room on the second floor and having the smell of breakfast permeating throughout the 2nd floor for hours.

We were 59 feet away from the highway and we could not sleep and we had left and went home the first night. We want our money back because all we heard was cars on the freeway all night

The breakfast every morning by far is the best part. Nothing crazy but they provide enough options for any family to get a good morning meal.

Only thing was we stayed in the middle of the property doing renovations, so everything was a little scary at first glance but the room was fine.

It was not as clean as we expected. We needed a third bed which was supposed to be the couch bed but that was too dirty to sleep in. The rooms smelled a little funky. Just overall felt a little dingy vs. what we saw in photos.

Housekeeping with attitude

What we liked about the property was the closeness to SDSU.

The hostile attitude and lack of cooperation from housekeeping. If you want your room cleaned, this isn’t the place to stay. Unfortunately this stay we were embarrassed and accused of lying by housekeeping and argued with me and my teen daughter about the time of day it was and why they can’t clean the room. This is was after repeated asks to clean and was told in an hour. To make it worse, after speaking with the front desk on the phone explaining what happened, the housekeeper walked away from our room and spoke in spanish saying terrible things about us. What she didn’t realize was we could understand her words as she yelled them down the corridor to another housekeeper. Tried to contact manager through the supervisor and sent an email, still waiting for a call back. No response.
