Nice hotel with easy access to Indiana Dunes and highways

Excellent bedding and pillows. Balcony on lake. Good breakfast. Good heat and cooling control. Refrigerator and microwave. Good lighting. Excellent nearby restaurant choices.

Breakfast was satisfactory. Room was spacious, and patio was a very pleasant positive. Bed was comfortable.

Front desk staff on entry was unhappy and told us that. Otherwise staff did a great job, but staff should be coached not to say it's not a good job. Pool was not good, water was cloudy.

We loved our stay!

The Lakeview rooms were amazing! We saw so many different types of birds, some frogs, and even a beaver! It was such a fun little stop off on our trip and a great place to stay for access to Indiana dunes! As an added bonus, the rooms were large and the breakfast was fantastic!

The common area in the hotel is a little outdated and the pool didn't have much depth variability. The entire pool was too deep for my 6-year-old to stand (she's a decent swimmer but gets tired), meaning an adult had to be in with her the whole time.

Great value!

The staff was really friendly. The facilities and my room were clean and smelled good. My husband and I had a king lake view room, and the view was beautiful. I liked that the bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion, and bodywash.

My only complaint was the bed and pillows. The bed was a little firm for me, and the pillows were somewhat flat. I usually bring my own pillow but forgot it. My husband said they were fine.

The bed was ok

The location was terrible. Completely unscenic. The bathroom was dirty - tp in toilet upon arrival, red/pink bacteria in shower and grout, water on hallway floor, all vending was out of order, a fire exit access was unusable for 24 hrs due to a broken door handle - despite claims the owner was aware. Dirty, cluttered, "storage rooms" open everywhere.

Very disappointed

The front desk receptionist was very pleasant.

The rooms are worn and dingy. The bath towels were dingy and looked like we're not washed properly. The place was not pleasing, and I did not stay the night. I changed my clothes there and did not use the room because I felt unsafe and the bed looked dirty and I couldn't stay or even think about sleeping in it. The entire environment was not what I expected, totally the opposite. I went to the wedding next door as planned and did not return. I wasn't staying there. The lighting (lamps) did not work. The entire hotel needs a makeover. For the money I wasted, they should be ashamed to advertise lodging.

Only Place to Stay in Chesterton!

Everything!!! The privacy!! The balcony on lake!!!! It was so peaceful!! Sauna and big indoor pool all to ourselves!!! The Geese. The Starlink show I videoed and staff didn't know what it was either!! Fun!!! I never woke for breakfast- but I wish I had!

We loved it here and had a great vacation

The bed was very comfortable. I liked the breakfast. My sons room was on the lake and my grandaughers loved it. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. the pool was clean. It was close to food and shopping but still quiet.

It could use a little tlc, but nothing important.

Definitely coming back

I liked how you could see the housekeepers all the time. It made me happy to know that the rooms were in fact being cleaned.

There was a group of people who had a bunch of children around 12 years old that kept running around the halls on the last night of my stay and when asked who was running around claimed they had no clue.

The beds and comforters were very comfortable

We were put into the handicap room even though we booked months ago. The shower was tiny and water inevitably sprayed all over the bathroom floor. The towels were tiny and very thin.

the property did not have an elevator. the pool is 4 1/2-5 feet deep,so if you have little ones bring a floaty or life vest.
