It was great having a kitchen
Check in process was not great, my partner I arrived at 18:30 and no one was at recpetion to give us keys. A number was provided but our eurpean phones could not call number so we had to find someone with a working phone to call and get code for key lockbox. The phone next to lockbox was broken

Has a retro feel. Dated appliances but completely refurnished and clean. No air conditioning but it’s San Diego. Fans
Perfect location close to the beach shops and work!
I never saw a hotel employee. Office was closed when I arrived and when I checked out. No maid service

Hidden Gem
Exceptional, welcoming, helpful staff. Quiet facility. A homey, not touristy, feel to the place. Simple but had everything we needed. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants.

Easy access to beach and cafes, clean and fully equiped
The size of the apartment was good, having a separate bedroom and a full kitchen (full cooker and fridge freezer). Any requests to staff were resolved quickly. (Bath slip mat, bin changes)
No lift and being over 70 would have preferred to have been on ground floor bcos of lifting suitcases. Seemed a lot of metal fencing (although to safeguard children from the pool and to escape in case of fire was good)
