Close to beautiful hiking trails and the charming towns of Grand Marais and Tofte.
It would be wonderful if they had a breakfast option. It was frustrating to have to drive to Grand Marais or Tofte to eat breakfast. Perhaps in the height of summer restaurants/coffee shops in Lutsen would be open, but in September there was nothing available mid-week. Yippy dogs in the hallways in the early mornings were also frustrating. If dog owners could only book ground floor rooms with walk-outs, the problem of dogs in the hallways would be eliminated.

1. 6 person condo was ideally located in Lutsen, MN
2. Staff was exceptional at the Front desk.
3. Outdoor pool.

1. Upper panoramic windows of the 2nd floor windows of Lutsen Mtns were simply filthy, clouded, dirty. Appeared to not have been cleaned for years. Very apparent from loft area. Disappointing because the view was breathtaking.
2. 2 bathroom condo where both showers - the water shower pressure was terribly weak. Caribou Highlands is so much better than this.
3. Upper bathroom toilet/wall was under restoration while paying premium pricing.
4. Cheap, fake, electric fireplace insert. We expect more from Caribou Highlands. Even the smaller Studio condo we also rented for this extended Family weekend had a woodburning fireplace. It is part of the Up North experience. Right?
