SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston I-45 North

The hotel was very quiet , clean , and comfortable.

It was a holiday weekend. We were celebrating our anniversaries ( ours and our Best friends). The facility was lightly staffed because they had let them off for the holiday. The bar never opened the entire weekend. The worst part was we were on the fourth floor. The lights went off briefly. Upon checkout 12pm, the elevators still weren’t working . Do the four of us had to carry our luggage and other items we had purchased down four flights of stairs. Very inconvenient and painful. I’ve had both knees replaced and my husband’s had one. It’s difficult enough going down stairs, but carrying extra weight was painful and difficult.

The property was very clean and had a good variety for breakfast.

The staff was not rude but not overly welcoming either. They didn’t seem to really enjoy their job.

Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom.

Bedsheets had someone else’s hair in them. Very noisy with traffic noise in the roadside rooms.

The room was ok, and the hotel looks good and clean.

we were just worried about our security, that is the most important. The front desk employee seemed and acted a little bit strange/unstable since the beginning (like high or drunk). She got really angry when we asked for a baby crib and a blanket/pillow for the sofa. She started jellying (to her self ) and she went to pick up the stuff for us. Outside the building, things didn’t look so different. It felt insecure and one “security person” was at the vehicle for the whole night and when she stepped out the vehicle (early in the morning, when we left) she smelled like she was smoking marihuana all night. I think she couldn’t assist anybody in an emergency case. I never experienced anything like this in a hotel in the USA. Unstable people in charge of a whole hotel within 100-300 rooms?
