Comfortable but basic stay in the middle of Kona

Nice central location. Was convenient to have a gym in building as well as ice machines

The air-conditioning has strong odour of mould, combined with dusty smell in the room, dust under beds, it was impossible to sleep. Pillows smell of past guests. Asked to be relocated to another room but told next day only, that didn’t eventuate.

Not worth the cost

The location and close to the airport, only needed to stay one night.

The bathroom was not as clean as it should be. It had old fecal stains on the toilet, someone else's hair on the bathroom floor, and the shower had lint and dirt towards the back away from the shower as if the front of the shower was the only area cleaned. The free breakfast is free for a reason. I've stayed at other holiday inns and the breakfast has always been pretty standard. No waffle maker, there was rice but nothing to pair it with. The staff in the dining room were great. If you want convenience because it is close to the airport... this is your hotel.

Parking fees, when you already paid fees on top of fees then to add parking, I do not think that is fair, worst of all kids should be on the first floor, they jumped and made so much noise tv could not be heard , hotel just said it’s quiet time at 10pm.

The Holiday Inn had spacious rooms with a comfortable bed and the amenities were really good. It was in the centre of everything in Kona.

Large, clean room with great shower but located in a sketchy part of town.

Large room, clean. Best shower ever. Lady at the check-in counter was very nice and helpful.

Breakfast eggs were probably powdered eggs. Not so nice. Location of hotel although walking distance to town was in a sketchy area. Walking thru empty dark parking lots at night to get back to hotel after dinner was not so pleasant.

Location was great - right in town, across the street from the ocean, and shops/restaurants close by. It was nice to have breakfast included. We stayed there for 6 days and liked that they changed up the breakfast each day to give a bit of variety. Staff were super friendly. Hotel was very clean. Outdoor pool and lounge chairs were nice to have. It was great that we could take out beach towels for the beach. There was ample parking at the hotel - we were able to get a spot every day. It was a great stay.

Signage for the hotel is poor. It is very easy to pass by the hotel as there is only a small sign on the road, and the hotel doesn't even have a sign on the building. There should be a big lit up sign on the hotel building that can be spotted from afar and also one on the road showing where to turn in before the road to turn down.
