Reception desk staff, bartenders, servers, all friendly and helpful. This low vision person reliant on guide dog found the hotel to be easy to navigate. Appreciated the clean designated dog relief area. Ate breakfast at the restaurant, where grits are creamy, biscuits light, eggs over easy perfect. Very good restaurants are a short walk away. the biscuits light, and eggs over easy perfect. light. The southern options at breakfast (include very good restaurants, such as Parizade and Local 22, a very short walk away.

Walkable to Duke East Campus and close to supermarkets.

9.6 / 10Outstanding·May 2025

We stayed one night while passing through to our final destination. The staff were very friendly, the happy hour was a nice bonus and the free breakfast was wonderful. Lots of options, including, a chef made omelet! The only downfall is the very hectic drop off lot. Parking is a block away in a garage. It was completely fine for us as just 2 people and a dog. But could be a pain for people with kids or elderly, especially if paying for valet wasn’t an option. Lastly, the staff was wonderful to our dog!
