The room was far more than what I expected. The motel is one of the oldest in Calexico and though it's retro exterior confirms this ALL of the rooms have been renovated with modern furniture, Wi Fi, cable TV, refurbished bathrooms and fixtures, new walk in showers, and flat screen televisions!
Additionally the hotel is less than a half mile from the city's main thoroughfare i.e. Imperial Boulevard and the International border. This hidden gem of a motel is also in a very quiet part of the city.
I would recommend that the rooms have at least a small clothing drawer. My room did have a low modern table where I placed my folded clothes on.

Perfect location for a border crossing to Mexico, just 5 mins away walking. Reasonable range of shops and facilities nearby. Great hotel and super helpful staff.
