Beautiful property with wonderful amenities. Very serene place to relax.
We went during the slow season so the property was nice and quiet. Only issue was the food from room service was bland and chicken was cold. While the bathrooms are beautiful and well appointed they needed a bit more attention in cleaning the floor grout in the shower.

Our stay at Bernardus was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and beautifully curated. The grounds are breathtaking, the service is impeccable, and every detail is designed to create a sense of calm and luxury. What stood out most was how effortlessly everything came together—from the warm welcome to the stunning setting, it felt like stepping into a world apart. Every corner of the property is a reminder that this place was created as a true retreat. It’s rare to find a destination that feels so thoughtfully run yet completely relaxed. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, strolling through the vineyards, or simply enjoying the view from your room, Bernardus offers the perfect blend of sophistication and serenity. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our return.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! Two nights wasn’t enough to fully appreciate the beauty.
Room size was more than ample and was tastefully decorated and furnished. Hotels grounds were beautiful! Croquet lawn was a beautiful centrepiece and focal point for some well-mannered competition between guests. The 24 hour jacuzzi with a mountain view was an unexpected wonder!
The fitness centre could be better, it felt quite cramped and the cardio machines were quite old. Without a car it was also difficult to leave the premises, a walking trail (or complementary drive to one) would allow the guests to make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
