Georgetown Lodge

Perfect location and the room was perfect for the price! We were able to bring our dogs and they has lots of great areas for the pups to sniff around. It was also super close to the down town area and right off the highway which was great

The free breakfast is very limited which is totally fine! Its free and the lodge is budget friendly so cant complain there. However, the choices were basically yogurt or waffles. The waffle line was very long so we went with yogurt. We took it back to our room and it tasted funny. When we looked the yogurts were very expired. My husband did end up getting sick.

The staff is amazing. I don’t remember the lady’s name who is the general manager but she was amazing. We had to cancel 2 nights due to snow and mountain blasting. We weren’t use to driving in those conditions and she worked with us and booking.com to cancel 2 nights. We ran into a few snags and she straightened it all out for us. She was so helpful. She also fixed us fresh coffee when we came to the lounge. This is an older lodge but comfortable. There is a room/ lounge with coffee and tables where we played cards. They also had a pool table. There was a large screen tv that showed beautiful pictures of Colorado. Soft music was playing and it was relaxing to sit after a busy day. There were two hot tubs but we didn’t have time to use them. There was also a complimentary continental breakfast. Georgetown is a quaint little town with interesting shops. It was my first time at the lodge but we stayed at a house with a larger group a few years back. Also Idaho Springs s near by and Mount Blue Sky. Next time we want to take the Georgetown Loop Train. It was not a modern lodge but it was comfortable- we would have stayed longer if the weather conditions were better. We were worried about making our flight back on time with snow and mountain blasting.

Right off the highway, at the base of the mountain. All night hot-tubs were amazing! Front desk clerk was super helpful and cheerful! Value for 💰 🤩 !!

Haha! As we are from a city that sits at 510 ft. above sea level, being here was, to say the least, challenging. Headaches and altitude-induced apnea (High-Altitude Central Sleep Apnea) prevented sleep 😔

We liked that it was in Georgetown. The room was comfortable enough. There were two beds and it was roomy

It was very dark, the walls are paper thin. We basically listened to our neighbor watch Chappelle's Netflix special. We could hear it clear as day, as well as the hotel guest conversation next door. Also, we got there a little early and went to check in. I was told that they dont like people to check in until after 3:00. It wasn't that there isnt a room available right now, but that they DONT LIKE PEOPLE TO CHECK IN UNTIL 3:00. Seriously, if you have a room available, you should check them in early, or maybe just say the rooms wont be available until 3:00, not that we dont like to check people in before 3:00pm.
